The Stockholm International Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Stockholm, Sweden. It was launched in 1990 and has been held every year since then during the second half of November, and focuses on emerging and early career filmmakers. The winning film in the international competition section is awarded the Bronze Horse (Bronshästen), and it awards a number of other prizes.

Godland is a 2022 drama film written and directed by Hlynur Pálmason. Set in the late 19th century, the film stars Elliott Crosset Hove as Lucas, a Lutheran priest from Denmark who is sent to Iceland to oversee the establishment of a new parish church, only to have his faith tested and challenged by the harsh conditions of rural life, including his inability as a monolingual Danish-language speaker to communicate with his assigned Icelandic guide, Ragnar.

Felipe Gálvez Haberle is a Chilean film director, screenwriter, and editor. His directorial debut film, The Settlers, was awarded the FIPRESCI Prize at the 76th Cannes Film Festival who also competed for Un Certain Regard and Caméra d'Or.
Shame on Dry Land is a 2023 drama film directed and written by Axel Petersén. It stars Joel Spira, Christopher Wagelin, and Julia Sporre.
The 33rd Stockholm International Film Festival took place from 9 to 20 November 2022 in Stockholm, Sweden. The festival was opened with the Nordic premiere of political thriller film Boy from Heaven directed by Tarik Saleh and closed with Paul Schrader's crime thriller Master Gardener.
