The 2023 William & Mary Tribe football team represented the College of William & Mary as a member of the Coastal Athletic Association Football Conference (CAA) during the 2023 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The Tribe, led by fifth-year head coach Mike London, played their home games at Zable Stadium. The Tribe finished with a 6–5 overall record (4–4 CAA).

The CAA, formerly known as the Colonial Athletic Association from 2007 through 2022, changed its name in July 2023 to accommodate future membership expansion outside of the Thirteen Colonies.

In the CAA preseason poll released on July 25, 2023, the Tribe were predicted to finish in first place out of 15 teams following the addition of Campbell and North Carolina A&T for the 2023 season. [1] [2]

Preseason All-CAA team

Junior linebacker John Pius, redshirt senior running back Bronson Yoder, junior offensive lineman Charles Grant, redshirt senior defensive lineman Nate Lynn, redshirt senior linebacker Isaiah Jones, redshirt senior cornerback Ryan Poole, and redshirt sophomore cornerback Jalen Jones were named to the CAA preseason all-conference team. [3] Pius was also named the preseason CAA Defensive Player of the Year, an award he won in 2022. [3] W&M's seven all-conference picks were the most of any team in the league, while its five defensive selections also led all schools. [3]

The 2008 William & Mary Tribe football team represented the College of William & Mary as member of South Division of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) during the 2008 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Led by Jimmye Laycock in his 29th year as head coach, William & Mary finished the season with an overall record of 7–4 and a mark of 5–3 in A-10 play, placing fourth in the South Division. They were ranked No. 20 in the final Sports Network poll, but did not receive a bid to the NCAA Division I playoffs.

The 2009–10 William & Mary Tribe men's basketball team represented The College of William & Mary during the 2009–10 college basketball season. This was head coach Tony Shaver's seventh season at William & Mary. The Tribe competed in the Colonial Athletic Association and played their home games at Kaplan Arena. They finished the season 22–11, 12–6 in CAA play and lost in the championship game of the 2010 CAA men's basketball tournament to Old Dominion. They were invited to play in the 2010 National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the first round to North Carolina.

The Tribe, led by tenth year head coach Tony Shaver, played their home games at Kaplan Arena and were members of the Colonial Athletic Association. They finished the regular season 13–16 overall and 7–11 in CAA conference play to finish in eighth place. They lost to James Madison in the quarterfinals of the CAA tournament. Following the season, sophomore guard Marcus Thornton was named to the second team all-CAA while junior forward Tim Rusthoven was named to the third team all-CAA.

The 2013 Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens football team represented the University of Delaware as a member of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) during the 2013 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Led by first-year head coach Dave Brock, the Fightin' Blue Hens compiled an overall record of 7–5 with a mark of 4–4 in conference play, placing in a three-way tie for fifth in the CAA. The team played home games at Delaware Stadium in Newark, Delaware.

The 2013 Elon Phoenix football team represented Elon University in the 2013 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They were led by third-year head coach Jason Swepson and played their home games at Rhodes Stadium. They were a member of the Southern Conference. This was their final season as a member of the SoCon as they joined the Colonial Athletic Association in 2014. They finished the season 2–10, 1–7 in SoCon play to finish in a tie for eighth place.

By finishing 7–1 in regular season CAA games, the Tribe tied with New Hampshire as conference co-champions. They went 6–0 on the road in the regular season for the first time in program history. William & Mary earned the FCS playoffs automatic bid. They made it to the quarterfinals before losing 55–7 to the #3 team in the nation, Montana State. The 11 wins tied a school record previously set twice, in 2004 and 2009.
