The 2024 Dakota State Trojans football team represented Dakota State University as a member of the North Star Athletic Association [1] during the 2024 NAIA football season. The Trojans were led by 16th year head coach Josh Anderson. [2] They played their home games at Brian Kern Family Stadium [3] in Madison, South Dakota.
The 2024 season marked the inaugural season for Brian Kern Family Stadium. [4] The Trojans played their first game in the new stadium on August 29, 2024, against Dakota Wesleyan and won by a score of 34–3. [5] [6]
To celebrate the opening of Brian Kern Family Stadium and the Beacom PREMIER Complex, Dakota State University held an event named Trojan Nights inside Brian Kern Family Stadium. This event included musical acts from Old Dominion, Brothers Osborne, and Elle King. [7]

Dakota State University (DSU) is a public university in Madison, South Dakota, United States. The school was founded in 1881 as a normal school, or teacher training school. Education is still the university's heritage mission, but a signature mission of technology was added by the state legislature in 1984 to specialize in "programs in computer management, computer information systems, and other related undergraduate and graduate programs."

Josh Anderson is an American college football coach. He is the head football coach for the Dakota State Trojans, a position he has held since 2009. He was the head football coach for Chino Valley High School from 2003 to 2005 and Payson High School from 2006 to 2008. He also coached for North Dakota State, South Dakota State, and Wayne State (NE). He played college football for Dakota State and North Dakota State. He has an overall head coaching record of 64–99.
Brian Kern Family Stadium is an American football stadium located in Madison, South Dakota. It is home to the Dakota State University Trojans football team. The inaugural game was held on August 29, 2024, against Dakota Wesleyan University, in which the Trojans won by a score of 34–3. The stadium is also home to Madison High School. The stadium has a capacity of 2,533.

The facility is currently home to the Dakota State Trojans track and field teams and will eventually be home to Dakota State's future soccer team.
