The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Sub-regional Qualifier B will be a cricket tournament that forms part of the qualification process for the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. It will be hosted by South Korea in September and October 2024. [1]

Contents

The winners of the tournament will advance to the regional final, where they will be joined by Nepal, Oman and Papua New Guinea, who were given a bye after having participated in the previous T20 World Cup, and four other teams from Asia qualifiers along with the winners of EAP qualifier A. The Japan national cricket team is the men's team that represents the country of Japan in international cricket. The team is organised by the Japan Cricket Association (JCA), which has been a member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1989. The 2022 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier was an international women's cricket tournament held in September 2022. It was the fifth edition of the Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier and served as the qualification tournament for the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup tournament. The top two teams from the qualifier tournament progressed to the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in South Africa.

The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Qualifier was scheduled to be a tournament played as part of qualification process for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. It was scheduled to take place from 11 to 16 October 2021 in Japan, with the top team progressing to one of two global qualifiers. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full international status to Twenty20 men's matches played between member sides from 1 January 2019 onwards. Therefore, all the matches in the Regional Qualifiers would have been played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

The 2022–23 ICC Men's T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The first stage of the qualification pathway in the East Asia-Pacific (EAP) region consisted of two sub-regional qualifiers: Qualifier A in Vanuatu in September 2022, and Qualifier B in Japan in October 2022.

The 2022–23 Associate international cricket season was from approximately September 2022 to April 2023. All official twenty over matches between Associate members of the ICC were eligible to have full Twenty20 International (T20I) or Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) status, as the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted T20I status to matches between all of its members from 1 July 2018 and 1 January 2019. The season included all T20I/WT20I cricket series mostly involving ICC Associate members, that were played in addition to series covered in International cricket in 2022–23. The 2023 ACC Men's Challenger Cup and the 2023 ACC Men's Premier Cup, which formed the qualification pathway for the 2023 Asia Cup, were also played during this period.
