This is a list of qualifying teams in the 2024 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament. A total of 68 teams are entered into the tournament. [1] Thirty-two of the teams qualified via automatic bids, earned by winning their conference tournaments, while the remaining 36 teams were via "at-large" bids, which are extended by the NCAA Selection Committee. Teams are seeded from 1 to 16 within each of the four regionals.
A total of 32 automatic bids to the tournament were granted to the below listed conferences, which were given to the team that won the conference's championship tournament. [2] Seeds listed reflect seeding within the conference tournaments. Runners-up in boldface later received at-large berths. [1]

The NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament, sometimes referred to as Women's March Madness, is a single-elimination tournament played each spring in the United States, currently featuring 68 women's college basketball teams from the Division I level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), to determine the national championship.
The Ohio Valley Conference baseball tournament is the conference baseball championship of the NCAA Division I Ohio Valley Conference. In the current format, established in 2023, the top eight regular-season finishers of the conference's 10 baseball schools qualify for the tournament. The bottom four seeds play single-elimination games, paired by seeds as 5–8 and 6–7. The winners of those games advance to single-elimination games, with the 3 and 4 seeds respectively playing the lower and higher seeds among the first-round winners. At this point, the top two seeds join, and the tournament becomes double-elimination. The most recent 2024 edition was held at the venue now known as Marion Stadium in Marion, Illinois. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship.
The 2013 Ohio Valley Conference women's basketball tournament was held March 6 - March 9 at Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. The University of Tennessee at Martin received the conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA tournament.

The 2015–16 Austin Peay Governors basketball team represented Austin Peay State University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Governors, led by 26th year head coach Dave Loos, played their home games at the Dunn Center and were members of the West Division of the Ohio Valley Conference. They finished the season 18–18, 7–9 in OVC play. As an 8 seed, they defeated Tennessee Tech, Tennessee State, Belmont and UT Martin to become champions of the OVC tournament. They earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. As a #16 seed, they lost to Kansas in the first round.

The 2024 Ohio Valley Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Ohio Valley Conference held from October 31 through November 10, 2024. The first round and quarterfinals of the tournament were held at campus sites hosted by the #3 and #4 seeds, while the semifinals and final took place at Tech Soccer Field in Cookeville, Tennessee. The eight-team single-elimination tournament consisted of four rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. This was Morehead State's first title since 2013. and were unable to defend their title as they lost to Lindenwood 3–2 in the Final. The conference tournament title was the first for the Lindenwood women's soccer program, and the first for head coach Dave Musso. As tournament champions, Lindenwood would have earned the Ohio Valley's automatic berth into the 2024 NCAA Division I women's soccer tournament, but they were disqualified as they were in a "period of transition" from Division II to Division I. Therefore, runner-up, Morehead State earned the automatic bid for the second season in a row.
