The 2020 Canterbury Cup NSW was the twelfth season of the New South Wales Cup, the top rugby league competition administered by the New South Wales Rugby League. The competition acts as a second-tier league to the ten New South Wales-based National Rugby League clubs, as well the Canberra Raiders and New Zealand Warriors. The competition will consist of 24 regular season rounds that will begin on 14 March and end on 30 August, they will be followed by 4 playoff rounds beginning on 5 September and ending with the grand final on 27 September. Newtown Jets are the defending premiers. On 27 March 2020 the New South Wales Rugby League opted to cancel the remainder of the season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2020 Canberra Rugby League will be the 1st season of the cup, the top division Rugby League club competition in Canberra. The 2020 competition was renamed due to the competition being given amateur status for 2020. The 2020 CRRL Cup will consist of 9 regular season rounds that will begin on the 25th of July and end on the 20th of September. There will be a Grand Final to decide the premiers, which will be played on the 27th of September. Queanbeyan United Blues are the defending premiers.

The team was initially coached by John Morris, who was relinquished of his duties following the signing of Craig Fitzgibbon as coach for the 2022 NRL season. The 2022 New South Wales Rugby League Presidents Cup will be a competition to determine the best semi-professional Rugby League team in New South Wales. It will be the third season of the competition. The 2022 season will add the Western Conference into the competition, which brings the conferences up to 4. The winners of each conference will play a 2-week knockout series to determine the Presidents Cup winners.

There will be 3 playoff rounds, beginning on 2 September with the first semi-final, and ending on 17 September with the Grand Final.
The New South Wales Rugby League will administer several Major Competitions during the 2024 season. This will include five men's competitions, two women's competitions and an under 21s competition.
The New South Wales Rugby League will oversee multiple competitions during the 2024 season, as part of the newly created Premiership Division. Presently, only two men's competitions are confirmed to be a part of the division. This division replaces the Presidents Cup. Both the Ron Massey Cup and Denton Engineering Cup will remain a part of the NSWRL Major Competitions.
The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Women are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Belmore, a suburb in the Canterbury-Bankstown region of Sydney. From mid-2025 they will compete in the National Rugby League Women's Premiership. Currently, the club fields women’s teams in the pathway competitions facilitated by the New South Wales Rugby League, including the open-age Harvey Norman Women's Premiership, Under 19 Tarsha Gale Cup, and Under 17 Lisa Fiaola Cup.
