The 2024 Shakey's Super League Pre-season Championship will be the third edition of the collegiate volleyball competition organized by the Shakey's Super League and the third and final SSL tournament of 2024. The tournament will begin on September 27, 2024, and will be contested by all 18 teams from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The NU Lady Bulldogs enter this tournament as two-time defending pre-season champions while also coming off their title run in the 2024 National Invitationals tournament. [2] [3]
All eighteen teams from the UAAP and NCAA will compete in this tournament. The teams are then divided into four pools. Pools A and B consist of five teams while Pools C and D consist of four teams. The pool composition is as follows: [1]

The format of this year's Pre-season Championship will remain unchanged, with its all-to-play rule still intact. [3] [4]
The preliminary round is divided into two separate rounds. In the first round, teams will play in a single round-robin tournament against their group opponents once. The top two teams in each pool will advance to the second round and clinch a berth in the final round. In the second round, the eight teams are divided into two new groups and compete in another single round-robin tournament
The final round begins with the crossover quarterfinals. Teams that finish top two in their second round pools have twice-to-beat advantage over their opponents. The playoff match-ups are as follows:

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is the top-level professional women's volleyball league in the Philippines organized by the Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. The PVL was established in 2004 as the inter-collegiate Shakey's V-League (SVL) until it rebranded to the current entity in 2017. Prior to becoming a full-fledged professional league in 2021, the PVL was open to participation of corporate owned semi-professional clubs and non-collegiate teams backed by local governments.

The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) holds its two-day 3x3 basketball tournaments on first week of March. It was inaugurated as a demonstration event for seniors' division in UAAP Season 80 in 2018.
The Shakey's Super League (SSL) is a women's volleyball league in the Philippines contested within the collegiate and high school levels. The league is organized by Shakey's Pizza Asia Ventures Inc. (SPAVI) and the Athletic Events and Sports Management Group Inc. (ACES).
The 2022 Shakey's Super League Pre-season Championship was the inaugural edition of the collegiate pre-season competition organized by the Shakey's Super League. It is also the first tournament for the SSL in general and the only such in 2022. The tournament was held on September 24 to November 19, 2022, at Rizal Memorial Coliseum, Manila. The 2024 Shakey's Super League National Invitationals was the second edition of the national collegiate competition organized by the Shakey's Super League and the second SSL tournament of 2024.The tournament began on July 10 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium. This tournament showcased the top three teams of the recent volleyball tournaments of the NCAA and UAAP, alongside the top two teams from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao that qualified on the regional qualifiers.
