2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship qualification

The 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship will be the first edition featured 32 teams. Two places are allocated to the current titleholder, Italy, and the host, Philippines. Fifteen places will be allocated to the top three teams from each of the 2023 Continental Championships that have not yet qualified as host or titleholder. Remaining places will be allocated to the top fifteen teams in the FIVB World Ranking at the end of the 2024 National Team Season that have not yet qualified through the first three criteria. [1]

FIVB reserved a berth for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship host country to participate in the tournament.

On March 20, 2024, FIVB announced that the Flag of the Philippines.svg  Philippines will host the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship. [2] [3]

The FIVB Volleyball Women's Challenger Cup is an international volleyball competition contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The inaugural tournament was played between 20 and 24 June 2018 in Lima, Peru. Bulgaria won the inaugural edition, defeating Colombia in the final and qualified for the 2019 Nations League.

The qualification for the 2020 men's Olympic volleyball tournament allocated twelve teams quota spots: the hosts, the winners in each of the six pools of Intercontinental Qualifying Tournament, and five continental Olympic qualification tournament winners. Teams already qualified for the event are not eligible to play in the following qualification tournaments. The 2020 Olympics were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship features 24 teams. Three places are allocated to the hosts, the Netherlands and Poland, and the current titleholder, Serbia. Ten places were to be allocated to the top two teams from each of the 2021 Continental Championships that have not yet qualified as host or titleholder. Remaining places were to be allocated to the top eleven teams in the FIVB World Ranking that have not yet qualified through the first three criteria. Following the cancellation of the 2021 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship, AVC allocated two quota spots to China and Japan, the top two teams in the AVC Continental Ranking.

The 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship featured 24 teams. Two places were allocated to the host, Russia, and the current titleholder, Poland. Ten places will be allocated to the top two teams from each of the 2021 Continental Championships that have not yet qualified as host or titleholder. Remaining places will be allocated to the top twelve teams in the FIVB World Ranking that have not yet qualified through the first three criteria.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Volleyball at the 2024 Summer Olympics</span> 2024 Paris Olympic event

The volleyball tournaments at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are scheduled to run from 27 July to 11 August 2024. 24 volleyball teams and 48 beach volleyball teams will participate in the tournament. Indoor volleyball competitions will occur at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles with the beach volleyball tournament staged at the Eiffel Tower Stadium in Champ de Mars. This is the first time in the history of the Olympic volleyball competition, each team participating in the Games will be entitled to include one non-competing (AP) athlete to replace an athlete for medical reasons. As such, team rosters will increase from 12 to 13 athletes.

The men's qualification for the Olympic volleyball tournament will occur between September 2023 and June 2024, allocating twelve teams for the final tournament. As the host nation and the reigning Olympic champions, France reserves a direct spot each for the men's team.

If a country that is not on the pre-classified list qualifies for the 2024 Summer Olympics will also gain a spot for the Championship.The 16th spot is reserved for the host country and the remaining places will be allocated to the top fifteen teams in the FIVB World Ranking at the end of the 2024 National Team Season that have not yet qualified through the first three criteria.

The 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women's U21 World Championship will be the 23rd edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's U21 World Championship, contested by the women's national teams under the age of 21 of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. It will be held in August–September 2024 in a host nation to be determined.

The 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship will be the 23rd edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship, contested by the men's national teams under the age of 21 of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body.
