Ishu Patel is an Indian-Canadian animation film director/producer and educator. During his twenty-five years at the National Film Board of Canada he developed animation techniques and styles to support his themes and vision. Since then he has produced animated spots for television and has been teaching internationally.

She is the director of The Last Reel, a Khmer-language feature film, and the producer on the award-winning Ruin, which won the special Orizzonti prize at the Bienniale Venice Film Festival. She has worked on the feature films Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Wish You Were Here, and on countless television documentaries for BBC, Discovery and other leading channels. She is one of the most experienced line producers in Cambodia.

With Vera Dreams of the Sea winning the Tokyo Grand Prix, the festival's top prize, Kaltrina Krasniqi became the third female director to achieve the prize, after Caroline Link in 1997 and Lorraine Lévy in 2012.
