360 Gamer was a UK-based video games magazine dedicated to the Xbox 360 console, established on 27 October 2005 by Uncooked Media [1] (which previously published its sister PlayStation 3 magazine, Play Gamer, as well as the other titles FSM and Neo ). This magazine is no longer published, and issue 145 dated 2013 was the final edition. [2]
The 132-page magazine was the first Xbox 360 to be periodically published every three weeks, as opposed to the traditional monthly schedule preferred by its rivals (in 2009, 360 followed suit and changed to a three-weekly format). Since its launch, the magazine eschewed the “mags in bags” trend, popularised by rival publishers Future Publishing and Imagine Publishing (wherein a magazine is packaged in a sealed bag along with a cheaply produced DVD and/or tips book), focusing instead on fierce editorial as its USP. This allowed the magazine to retail at a much lower price point than its competitors (currently £3.99, having raised from £2.99 in July 2012). [3] [4] [5]
Launched and edited for the first two years by Stu Taylor, the current 360 Gamer staff are veterans of British videogames journalism, including editors James Artaius (former news editor of XBM and founding editor of FSM) and Ian Collen (formerly of Play Gamer and XBM), and staff writer Will Johnston (former news editor of Play and contributor to Play Gamer).
360 Gamer re-launched its official website in August 2011, offering its readers a variety of ways to purchase the magazine alongside editorial content not found in the magazine.
The site also featured content not usually found in the magazine. This included breaking news coverage, full transcriptions of interviews, competitions, community features and reviews of Xbox Live Arcade games and downloadable content.

Official Xbox Magazine was a British monthly video game magazine which started in November 2001 around the launch of the original Xbox. A preview issue was released at E3 2001, with another preview issue in November 2001. The magazine was bundled with a disc that included game demos, preview videos and trailers, and other content, such as game or Xbox updates and free gamerpics. The discs also provided the software for the Xbox 360 for backward compatibility of original Xbox games for those without broadband and Xbox Live access. From January 2012, OXM no longer included a demo disc. In mid-2014, the U.S. version was merged into the UK version on the website, which lasted only a few months until Future plc announced that it was closing its website along with all the other websites that Future has published, including Edge and Computer and Video Games. In February 2015, OXM and all of Future's video game websites were redirected into GamesRadar.
Dan "Shoe" Hsu is the former editorial director of the 1UP Network, as well as former editor-in-chief of the video game magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly, a position he held from 2001 to 2008. Hsu attended the University of Michigan. His nickname, "Shoe", refers to the pronunciation of his surname.

Games for Windows is a discontinued brand owned by Microsoft and introduced in 2006 to coincide with the release of the Windows Vista operating system. The brand itself represents a standardized technical certification program and online service for Windows games, bringing a measure of regulation to the PC game market in much the same way that console manufacturers regulate their platforms. The branding program was open to both first-party and third-party publishers.

Games for Windows: The Official Magazine was a monthly computer game magazine published by Ziff Davis Media, licensing the Games for Windows brand from Microsoft Corporation. It was the successor to Computer Gaming World. The first issue was released in November 2006. As of the April/May 2008 issue, the magazine is no longer offered in print and the editorial staff was integrated with 1UP.

During its time as one of the main Mega Drive publications, Mega covered the "golden age" of the Sega Mega Drive from 1992 to 1995.
