The Salesman is a 2016 drama film written and directed by Asghar Farhadi and starring Taraneh Alidoosti and Shahab Hosseini. It is about a married couple who perform Arthur Miller's 1949 play Death of a Salesman on stage. When the wife is assaulted, her husband attempts to determine the identity of the attacker, while she struggles to cope with post-trauma stress. Farhadi chose Miller's play as his story within a story based on shared themes. A co-production between Iran and France, the film was shot in Tehran, beginning in 2015.

Everybody Knows is a 2018 Spanish-language mystery/crime drama film written and directed by Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi, and starring Javier Bardem, Penélope Cruz and Ricardo Darín. The film was selected to open the 2018 Cannes Film Festival in competition and was released in Spain on 14 September 2018. It was released in the United States on 8 February 2019.

<i>A Hero</i> 2021 film by Asghar Farhadi

A Hero is a 2021 Persian-language drama film written and directed by Asghar Farhadi, and starring Amir Jadidi, Mohsen Tanabandeh and Sahar Goldoost. In June 2021, the film was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or. At the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, the film won the Grand Prix. It was selected as the Iranian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 94th Academy Awards, but was not nominated.

The Accused Escaped is an Iranian comedy-drama television series directed by Reza Attaran and written by Saeed Aghakhani, which aired on IRIB TV3 from 3 October to 4 November 2005 for 26 episodes. the series aired during Ramadan. The series centers on Hashem, who migrates to Tehran with his family because of a heart problem, his wife's insistence, and the hope of a better job. But living in Tehran puts him and his family in a lot of trouble.
