Anthony Anderson American actor

Anthony Anderson is an American actor, comedian, and game show host. He has appeared in numerous films and television shows. He has starred in his own short-lived sitcom, All About the Andersons, as well as the ABC sitcom Black-ish and the Fox sitcom The Bernie Mac Show during its fifth and final season. Supriya Pathak is an Indian actress who works in Gujarati and Hindi films and television. She has received multiple awards including three Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actress. She is mostly popular for playing the role of Hansa Parekh in the Khichdi franchise, and for her vitriolic avatar of "Dhankor Baa" in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.

At the ceremony, nine-year-old Jackie Cooper, nominated for Best Actor in Skippy, fell asleep on the shoulder of Best Actress nominee Marie Dressler. Narges Abyar Iranian film director, author, and screenwriter

Narges Abyar is an Iranian film director, author and screenwriter, best known for directing Track 143, Breath, and When the Moon Was Full. The film Track 143 is adapted from Abyar's novel titled The Third Eye narrating the story of a woman and her son during the time of war. Her films sensitively picture the sufferings of women and children caused by the society, war or radicalism.

Annie Murphy Canadian actress

Anne "Annie" Frances Murphy is a Canadian actress. She is best known for her starring role as Alexis Rose in the CBC sitcom Schitt's Creek (2015–2020). For her performance in the series, she garnered critical acclaim and won a Primetime Emmy Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award, while also receiving nominations for four Canadian Screen Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Critics' Choice Television Awards, and one Golden Globe Award.

<i>Scary Mother</i> (film) 2017 film

Scary Mother is a 2017 Georgian drama film directed by Ana Urushadze. At the 23rd Sarajevo Film Festival, the film won the top prize, the Heart of Sarajevo. It was selected as the Georgian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards, but it was not nominated. Actress, Nato Murvanidze won the award for Best Performance by an Actress at the 2017 Asia Pacific Screen Awards for her performance in the film.

The 11th Asia Pacific Screen Awards were held on 23 November 2017 at the Brisbane Conventions and Exhibition Centre in Brisbane, Australia.

The El Gouna Film Festival is an annual film festival established in 2017, held in the Red Sea resort town of El Gouna, Egypt. The inaugural festival started September 22, 2017. The psychological thriller Scary Mother, by Georgian first-time director Ana Urushadze, took the Golden Star, the festival's top feature film competition prize. Oscar-winning actor-director Forest Whitaker was feted with a lifetime achievement award.
