The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (abbreviated as CPI(M)) is a communist political party in India. It is the largest communist party in India in terms of membership and electoral seats, and one of the national parties of India. The party was founded through a splitting from the Communist Party of India in 1964 and it quickly became the dominant faction.

The Ganatanra Parishad (GP) or the All India Ganatantra Parishad (AIGP) was a regional political party based in Orissa state in eastern India from 1950 to 1962. This political party was formed by the former rulers of the erstwhile princely states and big landlords. It was founded in 1950 and Rajendra Narayan Singh Deo became its president. In 1962, after the parliamentary election, this political party was merged with the Orissa unit of the Swatantra Party.

Ramvir Singh Bidhuri is the current Member of Parliament for South Delhi Lok Sabha 2024, having won by a large margin on a BJP ticket in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. He was a four-time MLA from Delhi's Badarpur seat. He served as the Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Vidhan Sabha from 2020 to 2024, and he was a member of the Badarpur Vidhan Sabha in Delhi from 1993 to 1998, 2003 to 2008, 2013 to 2015, and 2020 to 2024. In 2024, he was nominated the BJP's candidate for the South Delhi constituency in Delhi, succeeding two-time MP Ramesh Bidhuri.
Aam Aadmi Party Delhi or AAP Delhi is a state wing of Aam Aadmi Party. AAP became a state party in Delhi in 2013. The party contested its first election in Delhi in 2013 and was successful in winning 28 seats in a hung assembly. It got outside support from Indian National Congress and Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister of Delhi but he resigned after 49 days due to differences with INC. In the following 2015 elections, AAP won 67 of the 70 seats in the assembly, limiting BJP at just 3 seats and INC with none and Kejriwal was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi. AAP formed the government again in the subsequent 2020 Delhi Legislative Assembly election, winning 62 seats.
