Early life and education

Nambiar was born to Justice K. A. Nayar, former judge of the Kerala High Court and Chandralekha Nayar. [3] He completed his schooling from Lawrence School, Lovedale, graduated in chemistry from the Sacred Heart College, Thevara and obtained LL.B from Government Law College, Ernakulam with First Rank for which he was awarded the N. Govinda Menon Memorial Gold Medal. Nambiar has completed Masters of Arts in law from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. [1] [2]

Career

Nambiar enrolled as an advocate in 1990 and started practising in Ernakulam district with M/s. Menon & Pai Advocates. He specialised in constitutional law and taxation both direct and indirect. In July 2011, he was designated a senior advocate in the Kerala High Court and on 23 January 2014 he was elevated as an additional judge of High Court of Kerala and became permanent judge of High Court of Kerala on 10 March 2016. K. P. Padhmanabha Menon, B.A, B.L, M.R.A.S (1857-1919) was an Indian historian, lawyer, Judge of the Madras High Court and also the Advocate General of Madras. He was born at Elamakkara, near Edappally, in October 1857. He was the son of Diwan Peshkar P. Sankunny Menon who authored A History of Travancore, which was one of the first scholarly works on the history of Travancore. K. P. Padhmanabha Menon's History of Kerala in four volumes with 2,500 pages was completed in 1910. Padmanabha Menon used a portion of the Aluva Palace for this work. The work was published in 1924, five years after his death. K. P. Padhmanabha Menon also wrote Kochirajya Charitram, a history of the Kingdom of Cochin, in two volumes, published in 1912 and 1914 respectively. K. P. Padmanabha Menon introduced the method of social history and is regarded as the first modern historian of Kerala.
