The first annual Australian Independent Record Labels Association Music Awards (generally known as the AIR Awards) was an award ceremony in Australia on 29 November 2006 to honour outstanding achievements in sales by Australian independent artists. [1]
The shortlisted nominees for AIR Awards were announced in October 2006, with the sponsor of V energy drinks. [1]

Slava Grigoryan is an Australian classical guitarist and recording artist. He frequently collaborates and performs with his younger brother, fellow guitarist Leonard Grigoryan, performing as the Grigoryan Brothers.

The Teskey Brothers are an Australian blues rock band from Melbourne, named after the two brothers who formed the group in 2008: Josh Teskey and Sam Teskey. In 2019, they signed with Glassnote Records and Ivy League Records. They have released three albums: Half Mile Harvest (2017), Run Home Slow (2019) and The Winding Way (2023). At the 2019 ARIA Music Awards, The Teskey Brothers were nominated for seven awards.
