The 2024 AIR Awards is the eighteenth annual Australian Independent Record Labels Association Music Awards ceremony (generally known as the AIR Awards), which took place on 1 August 2024 in Adelaide. The 2024 AIR Awards introduced two new categories; the Independent Producer of the Year and the Independent Music Video of the Year. [1] The nominees were revealed on 14 May 2024. [2]

Kofi Owusu-Ansah, known by his stage name Genesis Owusu, is a Ghanaian-Australian rapper and singer from Canberra. He is the younger brother of fellow hip hop rapper, Kojo Owusu-Ansah p.k.a. Citizen Kay. Owusu's debut studio album, Smiling with No Teeth, reached the ARIA Albums Chart top 30. At the 2021 ARIA Music Awards he won four trophies for Album of the Year, Best Hip Hop Release, Best Independent Release and Best Cover Art.

RVG are an Australian rock band from Melbourne, Victoria, formed in 2015. The band's current line-up is composed of Romy Vager on vocals and lead guitar, rhythm guitarist and keyboardist Reuben Bloxham, bassist Isabele Wallace and drummer Marc Nolte. Original bassist Angus Bell was part of the band from its inception until 2019, being replaced briefly by Siahn Davis before Wallace joined as a permanent fixture later that year.

Struggler is the second studio album by Australian musician Genesis Owusu, released on 18 August 2023 through Ourness. The album was supported with a world tour, across North America, Europe and Australia between October and December 2023.

<i>Hey Dawn</i> 2023 studio album by Fanny Lumsden

Hey Dawn is the fourth studio album by Australian country music singer, Fanny Lumsden. The album was announced in April 2023 and released on 4 August 2023. In a statement upon announcement, Lumsden said, "I was a bit stuck after Fallow and didn't know where to go, and that unlocked it: 'Oh, you just need to wake up, it's a new day, it's a new moment, every day is a new moment, and you just need to be where you are right now. Forget about Fallow, forget about all the other things, just be now.'" Lumsden added, "I wanted it to feel good, I wanted to have fun, I didn't want to think too hard about it – I just wanted to feel."

Amy Dowd, is an Australian singer and songwriter & producer. Dowd is a Noongar woman, is the lead singer of band Squid Nebula and is a performer in the First Nations collective DRMNGNOW. Bumpy released her debut EP in January 2023.
