ANDAM is a French fashion award established in 1989 by Nathalie Dufour as a joint venture between the French Ministry of Culture and the Defi Mode fashion organisation. It has been recognised as a benchmark for designers, fashion professionals, and members of the international press, [1] and as a pathway for young designers hoping to enter the Paris Fashion Week. [2] [3]
The awards were originally restricted to Europeans living in France, but entry was extended to international candidates in 2005. [4]
In 2011, a new First Collection Prize was introduced, providing a €60,000 grant to a French fashion company. In 2012, the value of the global awards was increased to €290,000, [5] with a €60 000 L'Express Style prize being introduced. [2]
In 2018, the value of the global awards reached €430 000 with four prizes: the Grand Prix, the Creative Brand Prize, the Accessories Prize, and the Innovation Prize for designers, entrepreneur or start-ups willing to develop a project in France. The Innovation Prize recognises creative, innovative and technological solutions in the field of fashion design, production and distribution to develop an accountable and transparent fashion, taking into account economic, environmental and social issues. In the same year, Guillaume Houzé replaced Pierre Bergé as the president of the awards. [6] [7]

Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent, referred to as Yves Saint Laurent or YSL, was a French fashion designer who, in 1962, founded his eponymous fashion label. He is regarded as being among the foremost fashion designers of the twentieth century. In 1985, Caroline Milbank wrote, "The most consistently celebrated and influential designer of the past twenty-five years, Yves Saint Laurent can be credited with both spurring the couture's rise from its 1960s ashes and with finally rendering ready-to-wear reputable."
The Galeries Lafayette is an upmarket French department store chain, the biggest in Europe. (CFDA), founded in 1962 by publicist Eleanor Lambert, and headquartered in Manhattan, is a not-for-profit trade association comprising a membership of over 450 American fashion and accessory designers. The organization promotes American designers in the global economy.
Longchamp is a French leather goods company, founded in Paris in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain. The company pioneered luxury leather-covered pipes before expanding into small leather goods. Longchamp debuted women's handbags in 1971, becoming one of France's leading leather goods makers. Today, the company designs and manufactures leather and canvas handbags, luggage, shoes, travel items, fashion accessories, and women's ready-to-wear. The house is privately owned and managed by the Cassegrain founding family and does business in 80 countries through around 1,500 retail outlets.
Celine is a French luxury ready-to-wear and leather goods brand owned by the LVMH group since 1996. It was founded in 1945 by Céline Vipiana. Since November 2015, the headquarters are located at 16 rue Vivienne in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris at the Hôtel Colbert de Torcy, which has French Historic Monument classification. Séverine Merle has been the Chief Executive Officer since April 2017.

Iris van Herpen is a Dutch fashion designer known for fusing technology with traditional haute couture craftsmanship. Van Herpen opened her own label Iris van Herpen in 2007. In 2011, the Dutch designer became a guest-member of the Parisian Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, part of the Fédération française de la couture. Since then, Van Herpen has continuously exhibited her new collections at Paris Fashion Week. Van Herpen's work has been included in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York and the Palais de Tokyo in Paris.

Palmer Harding, stylized as palmer//harding is a London based international fashion brand known for women’s shirting created by fashion designers Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding. The designer duo met while studying at Central Saint Martins in 2007, launching their brand after graduation in 2011 as part of the NewGen initiative provided by the British Fashion Council. Palmer Harding have gained presence by dressing notable women such as Michelle Obama and former Prime Minister Theresa May. They were recipients of the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund in 2017.
Peet Dullaert is a Dutch fashion designer, couturier and entrepreneur based in Paris, France. He is the founder of the eponymous brand, Peet Dullaert, which he founded in 2012. Dullaert was awarded with the Frans Molenaar-prijs in 2012 and was nominated for the 2016 International Woolmark Prize for his contribution in the fashion industry.
