Felipe Oliveira Baptista (born 1975) is a Portuguese fashion designer. [1] He lives and works in Paris.
Oliveira Baptista was born in 1975 on the Portuguese Atlantic archipelago of the Azores. He graduated from Kingston University in London, where he studied fashion design.
Upon graduation, Oliveira Baptista worked for Max Mara, Christophe Lemaire and Cerruti. In 2002 he won the Grand Prix of the Hyères International Festival and in 2003 he won the ANDAM / LVMH Fashion Award.
In 2003 Oliveira Baptista founded his own label Felipe Oliveira Baptista with his partner Séverine Oliveira Baptista. He has since been living and working in Paris. [2] In 2005, he was invited to show in the official calendar of Couture for the first time and won the ANDAM / LVMH Fashion Award. In 2009 he had his first show during ready-to-wear Paris Fashion Week.
In addition to working on his own label, Oliveira Baptista was asked by Uniqlo to collaborate to the making of a 2006 capsule collection. In 2008 Nike commissioned him a book and a project called "AW77". The same year he also exhibited an installation work at the Hyères International Festival.
From 2010 until 2018, Oliveira Baptista worked as creative director of Lacoste. [3] [4] In 2014 he stopped his own ready-to-wear line to dedicate more time to Lacoste and projects in other creative fields. [5] Under his tenure at Lacoste, revenues grew from around 1 billion euros in 2009 to more than 2 billion euros in 2016. [6] He also brought in multiple collaborators to reinterpret the brand's history, including Supreme, Maison Lesage and Jean-Paul Goude. [7] In 2018 Oliveira Baptista and Lacoste ended their collaboration.
In July 2019, Oliveira Baptista succeeded Carol Lim and Humberto Leon and joined Kenzo, a brand of LVMH, as creative director. He showed his debut collection for the brand in 2020. [8] [9] In April 2021, Kenzo said it would part ways with Oliveira Baptista by the end of his term in June. [10]
In 2007 Oliveira Baptista was invited to exhibit some of his work at the MUDAM in Luxembourg. In 2013 a retrospective of ten years of his creation was exhibited at the MUDE in Lisbon. He later dressed Marie, a 2017 sculpture by Portuguese artist Julião Sarmento in the exterior courtyard of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Paris. [11] In 2017 his photography book Lisboa was published as part of the collection "Portraits de Villes".

It sells clothing, footwear, sportswear, eyewear, leather goods, perfume, towels and watches. The company can be recognised by its green Crocodile logo. René Lacoste, the company's founder, was first given the nickname "the Crocodile" by the American press after he bet his team captain a crocodile-skin suitcase that he would win his match. He was later redubbed "the Crocodile" by French fans because of his tenacity on the tennis court. In November 2012, Lacoste was bought outright by Swiss family-held group Maus Frères.
Kenzō Takada was a Japanese fashion designer living in France. He founded Kenzo, a worldwide clothing brand, that also markets skin care and perfumes, Takada was the honorary president of the Asian Couture Federation.
Berluti is a French leather maker that manufactures menswear, especially the leather finishing of calfskin, kangaroo leather and alligator skin in its production of shoes and boots. It makes leather belts, bags, and wallets, as well as bespoke and ready-to-wear garments. Established in 1895 by Italian Alessandro Berluti of Marche, Berluti is based in Paris on rue Marbeuf. The brand was bought by LVMH in 1993. The latest creative director was Kris Van Assche (2018-2021).
Riccardo Tisci is an Italian fashion designer. He studied in Italy at the Design Istituto d’Arte Applicata in Cantù until the age of 17, and then graduated from London's Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 1999. In 2005, Tisci was creative director for Givenchy Women's haute couture and ready-to-wear lines. In May 2008 he was additionally menswear and accessories designer of the Givenchy men's division. In March 2018, he was appointed chief creative officer of Burberry, succeeding Christopher Bailey.

Fenty was a fashion brand of ready-to-wear founded by Rihanna under the luxury fashion group LVMH. Fenty was launched in May 2019. The fashion label made Rihanna the first woman and also the first person of colour to head a luxury brand for the LVMH group. Fenty was closed in 2021.

Thebetsile "Thebe" Magugu is a South African fashion designer. Born in Kimberley and based in Johannesburg, he rose to prominence as the winner of the 2019 LVMH Young Fashion Designer Prize, and a finalist in the 2021 International Woolmark Prize. Magugu has released eleven solo collections under his own namesake label since 2017, as well as several capsules in collaboration with international brands such as Dior, Adidas, and AZ Factory.
