A Son de Guerra Tour debuted and peaked at number 80 on the Billboard 200. [5] It also peaked and debuted at number one in the Billboard Top Latin Albums and Tropical Albums charts. [6] [7] A Son de Guerra Tour won the Contemporary Tropical Album in 2013. [8]

<i>Areíto</i> (album) 1992 studio album by Juan Luis Guerra and 440

Areíto is the sixth album by Juan Luis Guerra with his band 440, released in 1992. The album, meant to be a tribute to the indigenous tribes of the Dominican Republic, is named after a dance that the aboriginal inhabitants of the Greater Antilles (taínos) accompanied with songs during their festivals and religious rites. Guerra's songs continued to show a strong influence from African and Aboriginal music. Famous Congolese musician Diblo Dibala played guitar in the song "El Costo de la Vida", which was a Spanish cover of his own soukous song "Kimia Eve", while the last track on the album, "Naboria daca, mayanimacaná", is sung in Arawak, the language of the Taíno people. Areíto was originally set to be released on early April 1992, was pushback to the end of October 1992 and was finally released on December 15, 1992.

Tropical Albums is a record chart published by Billboard magazine. Established in June 1985, the chart compiles information about the top-selling albums in genres like salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, and vallenato, which are frequently considered tropical music. The chart features only full-length albums and, like all Billboard album charts, is based on sales. The information is compiled by Nielsen SoundScan from a sample representing more than 90% of the U.S. music retail market, including not only music stores and music departments at electronics and department stores but also direct-to-consumer transactions and Internet sales. A limited number of verifiable sales at concert venues is also tabulated. Innovations by El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico was the first album to reach number-one in the chart. Up until May 21, 2005, reggaeton albums appeared on the chart. After the installation of the Latin Rhythm Albums chart, reggaeton titles could no longer appear on the Tropical Albums chart. By removing reggaeton albums from the Tropical Albums chart, it opened slots for re-entries and debuts. American bachata group Aventura claimed the top spot on the Tropical Albums chart, which marked the first time since the issue dated November 6, 2004 that an reggaeton album was not at the number-one spot.

Juanes: MTV Unplugged is the third live album of Colombian singer Juanes. It was recorded before a live audience at the New World Symphony Center in Miami Beach, Florida, on February 1, 2012, and was released by Universal Music Latino on May 29, 2012. The album includes featured performances by the Spanish composer Joaquín Sabina and the Brazilian singer Paula Fernandes. The album features rearranged takes on Juanes' hit songs like "Me Enamora", La Camisa Negra and "A Dios le Pido". The first single of the live album was released on March 5, 2012, called La Señal, which became a hit in Latin America. Vida (Life) is the twelfth studio album by Puerto Rican recording artist Draco Rosa, released on March 19, 2013 by Sony Music Latin. Literal is the 14th studio album by Dominican singer, songwriter and producer Juan Luis Guerra. It was released on 31 May 2019 by Universal Music Latin. In much the same way that his 1994 album, Fogaraté includes a Bachata Adaptation of the Lacrimosa movement from Mozart's Requiem Mass in D Minor, this album includes the song "I Love You More" which interpolates sections from, or is otherwise influenced by, Franz Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. The album won Best Contemporany Tropical/Tropical Fusion Album at the 20th Annual Latin Grammy Awards on November 14, 2019.
