The Aab-e-Gum derailment occurred on 17 November 2015 at Aab-e-Gum, Balochistan, Pakistan when the Jaffar Express passenger train derailed. Twenty people were killed and 96 were injured.
The Jaffar Express, travelling from Rawalpindi to Quetta, derailed at Aab-e-Gum. [1] Four carriages were derailed. [2] At least twenty people were killed and 96 were injured, including about a dozen with critical injuries, [3] [1] and 33 with serious injuries. [1] Both train crew were amongst the victims. [2] The seriously injured were airlifted to hospital in Quetta by Pakistan Army Mil Mi-17 helicopters. [3]
The cause of the accident is under investigation by Pakistan Railways. [1] Officials have stated that the trains' brakes failed. [2] A survivor of the accident alleged that the train was allowed to proceed with a known fault in its braking system. [1]

The Ghotki rail crash occurred on 13 July 2005, at around 3:40am local time near Ghotki, Pakistan. No. 24 Dn train stopped at the station of Sarhad was hit from behind by the following Karachi Express train, causing several cars to derail; these were then hit by a third train running in the opposite direction (Tezgam). A total of seventeen train cars, carrying over 3000 passengers, were wrecked. Estimates of the death toll ranged as high as over 130. It was the worst train accident in Pakistan in fifteen years.

The trip takes approximately 23 hours and 30 minutes to cover a published distance of 1,225 kilometres (761 mi), traveling along the Rohri–Chaman Railway Line, Karachi–Peshawar Railway Line, Khanewal–Wazirabad Branch Line and the Shahdara Bagh–Sangla Hill Branch Line. Akbar express is the only train which connects Faisalabad with Quetta.
The 2015 Uttar Pradesh train accident occurred on 20 March 2015. The Dehradun Varanasi Janata Express derailed near Bachhrawan in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, northern India, resulting in at least 58 deaths and 150 people being injured. The accident was attributed to brake failure.
