Laxmikant–Pyarelal were an Indian composer duo, consisting of Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar (1937–1998) and Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma . They composed music for about 750 Hindi movies from 1963 to 1998, working for almost all notable filmmakers, including Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Shakti Samanta, Manmohan Desai, Yash Chopra, K. Balanchander, Boney Kapoor, J. Om Prakash, Raj Khosla, L V Prasad, Subhash Ghai, Mahesh Bhatt, K Viswanath and Manoj Kumar.
Trishul (transl. Trident) is a 1978 Indian Hindi-language action drama film, directed by Yash Chopra, written by Salim–Javed and produced by Gulshan Rai. It features music by Mohammed Zahur Khayyam, with lyrics by Sahir Ludhianvi. The film features an ensemble cast of Shashi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Raakhee Gulzar, Hema Malini, Poonam Dhillon, Sachin and Waheeda Rehman.
Do Jasoos is a 1975 Hindi comedy drama film produced and directed by Naresh Kumar. Raj Kapoor, Rajendra Kumar started in the title roles, along with Prem Chopra, Sujit Kumar, Farida Jalal, Aruna Irani among others. The music is by Ravindra Jain.
Souten is a 1983 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Saawan Kumar Tak, starring Rajesh Khanna, Tina Munim, Padmini Kolhapure, Prem Chopra and Pran. It was written by Kamleshwar, with music by Usha Khanna. The song "Shayad Meri Shaadi" sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar became especially memorable. Khanna's chemistry with Munim also proved popular. The film was remade in Kannada as Krishna Nee Begane Baro and in Telugu as Tene Manasulu.

It is an adaptation of the 1886 Thomas Hardy novel The Mayor of Casterbridge. The film stars Rajesh Khanna, Sharmila Tagore and Raakhee in lead roles, with Madan Puri, Kader Khan, Prem Chopra and A. K. Hangal.

It stars Shashi Kapoor, Raakhee, Rekha, Raj Kiran, Poonam Dhillon in lead roles. The music was composed by R. D. Burman. The movie was a hit at the box office and the lead actor's performance was much praised.

The film stars Rajesh Khanna, Hema Malini and Prem Chopra. The music is composed by Rahul Dev Burman. The film is noted for an impressive performance by the lead pair and for its haunting melodies such as the solo song "Mere Naina Sawan Bhadon", sung by both Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar, "Chalo Ri" by Lata and the duet song "Parbat Ke Peeche". The movie is based on Gulshan Nanda's novel Sisakate Saaz. Nanda has also written the screenplay. Upon its release, while the movie was a silver jubilee hit in many territories did not do so well in Mumbai. The film has gained a cult following over the years.
Ek Se Badhkar Ek is a 1976 Hindi movie, with action, comedy and drama. The story is about two brothers who were separated and both became thieves. There was big competition between the police and thugs to steal a diamond worth a million. There are suspenses one after another. Finally, the diamond was stolen and it had gone missing from hand to hand, until discovered with much effort by the heroes. Directed by Brij, The film stars Ashok Kumar, Raaj Kumar, Navin Nischol and Sharmila Tagore. The film's music is by Kalyanji-Anandji.

This film, along with Amar Deep, marked the comeback of Rajesh Khanna, as these were his commercially successful films after none of his films became huge hits at the box office throughout 1978, with the exception of Bhola Bhala. The news magazine "The Indian" noted that "Rajesh Khanna makes a sincere attempt to recover his popularity as a "superstar" and succeeds. He gives naturally touching performance".

The film stars Dev Anand, Tina Munim, Mehmood, Nirupa Roy, Prem Chopra, Ranjeet, Shakti Kapoor, Kader Khan, Amjad Khan, Simple Kapadia, Shreeram Lagoo and Rakhee Gulzar in a Guest appearance. The film's music was composed by Rajesh Roshan.
Agar Tum Na Hote is a 1983 Indian Bollywood drama film directed by Lekh Tandon and starring Rajesh Khanna, Rekha and Raj Babbar in leading roles. Lekh Tandon received the Best Director Award for this film from the Filmfans Association of India in 1983. The movie was a super hit completing the silver jubilee in many centres and was the third consecutive super hit in 1983 after Avatar and Souten. These movies heralded Rajesh Khanna’s return to superstardom. In the same year, Khanna won a special award for excellence in acting for this movie at the Columbus International Film and Video Festival.
