Abbas Ali Mahdi is an Indian academic,researcher,author and current Vice-chancellor of Era University. [1] [2] [3]
He served as the president of Indian Academy of Biomedical Sciences from 2013 to 2014. He is also former secretary general of Indian Academy of Biomedical Sciences (IABS). [4] [5]
He has made contributions in the fields of Natural products,Metal toxicity, [6] and Free radical biology. [7] [8]
His in-depth studies on oxidative stress–induced perturbations of antioxidant levels in the seminal plasma of infertile men demonstrated significant improvement following treatment with certain herbal preparations. [9]
Prof Mahdi was ranked the world’s top 2% of scientists by Stanford University. [10] [11]
He was Research Associate at Aligarh Muslim University from 1985 to 1991. He worked as head of the department at King George's Medical University from 2010 to 2023.[ citation needed ]
In 2003 he joined as the associate professor at King George's Medical University and later in 2005 he became the full time professor at King George's Medical University. [12] [13]
