Premaloka is a 1987 Indian romantic musical film directed by Ravichandran in his directorial debut and produced by N. Veeraswamy under the banner Sri Eshwari Productions. Based on the 1982 film Grease 2, the film was made simultaneously in Kannada and Tamil with the Tamil version titled Paruva Ragam. It stars Ravichandran in the lead role alongside Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla. Leelavathi and Lokesh play supportive roles in the Kannada version while Jaishankar and Manorama reprise their respective roles in the Tamil version. Vishnuvardhan, Ambareesh, Tiger Prabhakar, Srinath and Urvashi made guest appearances in the film. Thengai Srinivasan, Cho Ramaswamy and Delhi Ganesh portray the respective roles of Ambareesh, Prabhakar and Srinath in the Tamil version.
Yuga Purusha is an Indian 1989 Kannada-language film directed by D. Rajendra Babu. The film stars Ravichandran and Khushbu. It is a remake of Bollywood movie Karz. The music for the film was composed by Hamsalekha. The movie is about reincarnation, where a man is murdered by his newly wedded wife in his past life for the sake of acquiring the man's property. After taking a new birth, the man takes revenge against his past life's wife. Like other Ravichandran movies released during the late 80s period, this was also the musical blockbuster of the year.
Shanti Kranti is a 1991 Indian action film produced and directed by V. Ravichandran under his Eshwari Productions banner. The film starred Ravichandran and Juhi Chawla in lead roles, while Ramesh Aravind, Khushbu and Anant Nag play supporting roles. The film was simultaneously shot in Kannada, Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. Ravichandran was the lead in Kannada, while he portrayed Ramesh Aravind's role in Tamil and Telugu. Nagarjuna played the lead role in Telugu, while Rajinikanth did so in Hindi and Tamil, the latter titled Nattukku Oru Nallavan. The film became a failure in all four languages. It was the most expensive Indian film made until then.

The film was a remake of Tamil film Chinna Gounder directed by R. V. Udayakumar and starring Vijayakanth and Sukanya. The film was also remade in Telugu as Chinarayudu starring Venkatesh and Vijayashanti.

The film has an ensemble cast including Vishnuvardhan, Ambareesh, Devaraj, Jayapradha, Urvashi, Shashikumar, Ramkumar, Vijayalakshmi, Kasthuri and Charulatha. The movie was produced by Bharathi Devi for Chinni Chitra productions. The movie became a blockbuster and ran for more than 25 weeks. The film was remade in Telugu in 2002 as Chandravamsam starring Krishna. The movie was loosely based on the Pandavas's exile episode in the Virata Parva of Mahabharata.
