The Putrajaya International Convention Centre is a convention centre in Putrajaya, Malaysia. It occupies an area of 135,000 square meters in Precinct 5. The building which began construction in 2001 and was completed in September 2003, is designed by fourth prime minister Mahathir Mohamad to look like the eye of pending perak. It was renamed from the Putrajaya Convention Centre in October 2004 to its present name to reflect its international status on par with conference centres in world-class cities such London, Tokyo and Paris.

Gurun is a mukim in Kuala Muda District, Kedah, Malaysia. "Gurun" in English means desert, however the town does not resemble in the slightest the meaning of its English translation. Rather, it derived its name from the word "gerun", which means terrify or "kurun" meaning elephant in the Siamese dialect. These words are associated with an incident during the reign of King Ekataat’s grandsons, Sultan Jaafar Mad Azam Syah, Sultan of the Islamic State of Ayutthia, who was killed in 1876 by the invading Thai armies when they crushed his body using an elephant. This incident took place behind the current Gurun Police Station.

Rantau Panjang–Sungai Golok Bridge, popularly called the "Harmony Bridge", is a road bridge crossing Kolok River of the Malaysia–Thailand border, connecting Rantau Panjang town in Kelantan, Malaysia, with Su-ngai Kolok town in Narathiwat, Narathiwat Province, Thailand. It spans to the south of the cross-border railway bridge Harmony-Bridge nearby. The bridge is a part of Asian highway network AH18, including Thailand Route 4056 and Federal Route 3. It was built by the governments of both countries, and was officially opened on 21 May 1973 by both Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak bin Haji Dato' Hussein Al-Haj and Thai Prime Minister Field Marshal Thanom Kittikachorn.
