Mohd Anwar bin Mohd NorRMN (b. December 3,1951,in Alor Gajah,Malacca,is the 15th and the former Chief of Defence Forces. He is the first head of the Malaysian Armed Forces to be appointed from the Royal Malaysian Navy. For over five decades previously,the Chief of the Defence Force had traditionally been a 4-star General from the Malaysian Army. Anwar broke the tradition by being appointed the first Navy Admiral to be promoted to Chief of Defence Force.

He is the third son of Mahathir Mohamad,the 4th,7th and former Prime Minister of Malaysia. He has been the 1st and founding President of the Homeland Fighters Party (PEJUANG) since party foundation in August 2020. He was the 1st and founding Deputy President and State Chairman of Kedah of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) from party foundation in September 2016 to his membership termination in May 2020 and was also the State Chairman of Kedah of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He was also a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the BN coalition. He left UMNO with Mahathir and they founded BERSATU in 2016. Mahathir and his BERSATU memberships were terminated and they founded PEJUANG in 2020. He is one of the two Menteris Besar of Malaysia who represented two different political parties and coalitions.
Azizan bin Abdul Razak was a Malaysian politician who served as the 10th Menteri Besar of the state of Kedah from 2008 to 2013. A member of the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS),he was the first Chief Minister of Kedah from a party other than the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO). He held the seat of Sungai Limau in the Kedah state assembly from 2004 until his death in 2013. He was also the state commissioner for PAS in Kedah and a member of the central committee of the national party.
