Accinctapubes albifasciata is a species of snout moth in the genus Accinctapubes . It was described by Herbert Druce in 1902, and is known from southern Mexico Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, and Trinidad.
The Pyralidae, commonly called pyralid moths, snout moths or grass moths, are a family of Lepidoptera in the ditrysian superfamily Pyraloidea. In many classifications, the grass moths (Crambidae) are included in the Pyralidae as a subfamily, making the combined group one of the largest families in the Lepidoptera. The latest review by Eugene G. Munroe & Solis, in Kristensen (1999) retains the Crambidae as a full family of Pyraloidea.
Accinctapubes is a genus of snout moths in the subfamily Epipaschiinae. It was described by Solis, 1993, and is known from Costa Rica and Paraguay.
Herbert Druce, FLS was a British entomologist. His collections were acquired by Frederick DuCane Godman (1834–1919) and Osbert Salvin (1835–1898) before being bequeathed to the Natural History Museum, London. He is not to be confused with his son, the English entomologist Hamilton Herbert Druce who also worked on Lepidoptera.
The larvae feed on Persea americana and Ocotea veraguensis .
