Adam Hughes Putnam is an American politician who served as the 11th Commissioner of Agriculture of Florida from 2011 to 2019. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served in the U.S. House of Representatives for five terms, representing the Central Florida-based 12th congressional district. He chaired the House Republican Conference from 2007 to 2009.

NYU Langone Health is an academic medical center located in New York City, New York, United States. The 1951 Florida State Seminoles football team represented Florida State University as an independent in the 1951 college football season. Led by fourth-year head coach Don Veller, the Seminoles compiled a record of 6–2. On October 5, Florida state played the Miami Hurricanes, losing 35–13. The game was the first meeting between the two schools and the beginning of the longstanding rivalry.
The Rare Diseases Clinical Research Network (RDCRN) is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and led by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) through its Division of Rare Diseases Research Innovation (DRDRI). The RDCRN is designed to advance medical research on rare diseases by providing support for clinical studies and facilitating collaboration, study enrollment, and data sharing. Through the RDCRN consortia, physician scientists and their multidisciplinary teams work together with patient advocacy groups to study more than 200 rare diseases at sites across the nation.

Richard Michael Corcoran is an American politician who was speaker of the Florida House of Representatives. From 2019 to 2022, Corcoran was the state's education commissioner. In 2023, he became president of the New College of Florida.
