Adam Bomb (born Adam Brenner, 1963) is an American guitarist and singer who has worked with several bands.

The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that usually has six strings. It is typically played with both hands by strumming or plucking the strings with either a guitar pick or the finger(s)/fingernails of one hand, while simultaneously fretting with the fingers of the other hand. The sound of the vibrating strings is projected either acoustically, by means of the hollow chamber of the guitar, or through an electrical amplifier and a speaker.

Singing is the act of producing musical sounds with the voice and augments regular speech by the use of sustained tonality, rhythm, and a variety of vocal techniques. A person who sings is called a singer or vocalist. Singers perform music that can be sung with or without accompaniment by musical instruments. Singing is often done in an ensemble of musicians, such as a choir of singers or a band of instrumentalists. Singers may perform as soloists or accompanied by anything from a single instrument up to a symphony orchestra or big band. Different singing styles include art music such as opera and Chinese opera, Indian music and religious music styles such as gospel, traditional music styles, world music, jazz, blues, gazal and popular music styles such as pop, rock, electronic dance music and filmi.

Early years

In 1979, when Adam Bomb was 16 years old, he and Geoff Tate started a cover band called Tyrant. Later he joined the band TKO, with whom he recorded the album In Your Face. In 1982, Bomb auditioned for Kiss. He flew to Los Angeles and played three songs with them, but was not invited to join the band. Instead, he moved to Hollywood and shared an apartment with Jeffrey Isbelle, better known as Izzy Stradlin. Bomb quickly became friends with Tommy Thayer, a neighbor and guitarist for the rock band Black N' Blue (now guitarist in KISS), who suggested Adam should do his own project and call it Adam Bomb. Tommy Thayer's band "Movie Star" opened for TKO at The Showbox in 1981. In 1983, Adam recorded his first demos with producer Rick Keefer. He also played two gigs with Steeler as a replacement for Yngwie Malmsteen. One year later, Adam recorded more songs with the aid of drummer Chuck Ruff of Montrose and bassist Cliff Williams of AC/DC and finalized his first album, Fatal Attraction.^[1]

Geoff Tate is a German-born American singer and musician. He rose to fame with the progressive metal band Queensrÿche, who had commercial success with their 1988 album Operation: Mindcrime and 1990 album Empire. Tate is ranked fourteenth on Hit Parader's list of the 100 Greatest Metal Vocalists of All Time. He was voted No. 2 on That Metal Show's top 5 hard rock vocalists of the 1980s. In 2012, he won the Vegas Rocks! Magazine Music Award for "Voice in Progressive Heavy Metal". In 2015, he placed ninth on OC Weekly's list of the 10 Best High-Pitched Metal Singers. After his farewell tour as Queensrÿche, he renamed his band Operation: Mindcrime, after the Queensrÿche album of the same name.

Tyrant is a Japanese symphonic black metal band.

TKO is a hard rock and heavy metal band from Seattle, Washington, which was mainly active between 1977-1986. The group's lead vocalist and only consistent member is Brad Sinsel.

In 1984, Bomb signed a long-term management deal with Leber Krebs and moved to New York to start a band with former Billy Idol drummer Gregg Gerson, Billy Idol/Riot bassist Phil Feit, and Aerosmith guitarist Jimmy Crespo. Later, the band moved to Los Angeles and played openings for bands like Armored Saint and Metallica.

William Michael Albert Broad, known professionally as Billy Idol, is an English musician, singer, songwriter, and actor. He first achieved fame in the 1970s emerging from the London punk rock scene as a member of Generation X. Subsequently, he embarked on a solo career which led to international recognition and made Idol a the lead artist during the MTV-driven "Second British Invasion" in the United States. The name "Billy Idol" was inspired by a schoolteacher's description of him as "idle".

Aerosmith is an American rock band, sometimes referred to as "the Bad Boys from Boston" and "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band". Their style, which is rooted in blues-based hard rock, has come to also incorporate elements of pop rock, heavy metal, and rhythm and blues, and has inspired many subsequent rock artists. They were formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1970. Guitarist Joe Perry and bassist Tom Hamilton, originally in a band together called the Jam Band, met up with vocalist Steven Tyler, drummer Joey Kramer, and guitarist Ray Tabano, and formed Aerosmith. In 1971, Tabano was replaced by Brad Whitford, and the band began developing a following in Boston.

In the following years, Adam Bomb performed as both a band and solo act with a variety of bands and people worldwide, some of whom were Chuck Berry, and Johnny Thunders, and recorded several albums.^[2] One night in 1990, he jammed with Mick Taylor on Brown Sugar. On another night in 1993 when Adam was playing at The Loft, Axl Rose walked in and started singing with Adam. Axl explained that he and Izzy had seen him play at the TKO gig in 1983 at the Troubadour in Hollywood and were going to ask him to join the band they were starting, but were afraid Adam would have turned them down.

Charles Edward Anderson Berry was an American singer, songwriter, and one of the pioneers of rock and roll music. With songs such as "Maybellene" (1955), "Roll Over Beethoven" (1956), "Rock and Roll Music" (1957) and "Johnny B. Goode" (1958), Berry refined and developed rhythm and blues into the major elements that made rock and roll distinctive. Writing lyrics that focused on teen life and consumerism, and developing a music style that included guitar solos and showmanship, Berry was a major influence on subsequent rock music.

John Anthony Genzale, better known by his stage name Johnny Thunders, was an American rock and roll/punk rock guitarist, singer and songwriter. He came to prominence in the early 1970s as a member of the New York Dolls. He later played with The Heartbreakers and as a solo artist.

Michael Kevin Taylor is an English musician, best known as a former member of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers (1966–69) and the Rolling Stones (1969–74). He has appeared on some of the Stones' classic albums including Let It Bleed, Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!, Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main St..

Present 2011

In December 2011, Adam Bomb, bassist Paul Del Bello, and drummer Violet Cannibal started recording on a triple CD entitled Rock On, Rock Hard, Rock Animal. The album features 2 discs with covers of some of the greatest Rock n' Roll hits, as well as one disc of original material. In 2014 Adam recorded Affection written by Little Steven. Adam Bomb stopped touring to care for his 16-year-old daughter, raising her as a single parent after losing his wife Claire O'Connor to cancer in 2011, a New York publicist who ran The Limelight nightclub in New York City. After extreme legal problems stemming from his late wife's passing, Adam continued touring with various musician lineups still maintaining over 200 shows a year. Adam briefly remarried to a fashion model named Georgina Smith, whom he met a party in New York. They got married on July 4, 2013 and divorced in 2014. Adam continued touring and settled in Amsterdam Holland for most 2015/2016 where he wrote two books that were published by New Haven Publishing. In July 2016 he recorded a single called The Only Love You When Your Dead with drummer Bobby Reynolds, keyboardist Alan St Jon, Saxophonist Arno Hecht, and Phil Feit on bass guitar. Adam returns to the road in Fall 2018 for an extensive UK tour.^[3]

Limelight is a type of stage lighting once used in theatres and music halls. An intense illumination is created when an oxyhydrogen flame is directed at a cylinder of quicklime, which can be heated to 4,662 °F (2,572 °C) before melting. The light is produced by a combination of incandescence and candoluminescence. Although it has long since been replaced by electric lighting, the term has nonetheless survived, as someone in the public eye is still said to be "in the limelight". The actual lights are called "limes", a term which has been transferred to electrical equivalents.

A musician is a person who plays a musical instrument or is musically talented. Anyone who composes, conducts, or performs music is referred to as a musician. A musician who plays a musical instrument is also known as an instrumentalist.

Showman and entertainer who lives for the music and the pleasure derived from his interaction with the audience, no matter who, where or how many. Every chord is played as if it’s his last on earth... It’s rock ‘n’ roll stripped to the bare essentials. Adam owns the guitar and is the definition of "live performance."^[2]

Rebel Yell is the second studio album by English rock musician Billy Idol. It was released on 10 November 1983, by Chrysalis Records. After the release of his 1981 eponymous debut album, Idol continued his collaboration with Keith Forsey and Steve Stevens. The album was recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York. Initially recording without a drummer, utilizing only the electronic drum machine LinnDrum, Forsey and Stevens later decided to hire Thommy Price to play drums on some of the songs. Musically, Rebel Yell is a rock album with a strong influence of new wave music. The cover sleeve and images were shot by Brian Griffin. Idol got the idea of the album's title after attending a party with The Rolling Stones and drinking the Rebel Yell whiskey.

Bikini Kill is an American punk rock band formed in Olympia, Washington, in October 1990. The group consisted of singer and songwriter Kathleen Hanna, guitarist Billy Karren, bassist Kathi Wilcox, and drummer Tobi Vail. The band is widely considered to be the pioneer of the riot grrrl movement, and was known for its radical feminist lyrics and fiery performances. Their music is characteristically abrasive and hardcore-influenced. After two full-length albums, several EPs and two compilations, they disbanded in 1997. The band reunited for a tour in 2019.

Matthew William Sorum is an American drummer and percussionist. He is best known as both a former member of the hard rock band Guns N' Roses, with whom he recorded three studio albums, and as a member of the supergroup Velvet Revolver. Sorum is currently a member of the touring project, Kings of Chaos, and is a former member of both the Cult and Y Kant Tori Read. Hollywood Rose was an American hard rock group formed in 1983. They are best known as the precursor for what would eventually become Guns N' Roses. The group was founded by Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin and Chris Weber, while they were aided during live shows by Rick Mars, Johnny Kreis, Steve Darrow and Andre Troxx. Rose, Stradlin and Weber, along with Kreis, recorded a five-song demo in 1984. However, after a number of lineup changes, which includes Weber and Kreis being replaced by Slash and Steven Adler as well the departure of Stradlin, the group disbanded the same year.
