Adam Malik (born 10 May 1967) is a former professional tennis player from Malaysia.
Malik was just 14 when he made his Davis Cup debut for Malaysia, against Indonesia in 1982.
He moved to Australia at the age of 16 to attend boarding school. After he completed his schooling he studied at the University of Kentucky in the United States. He played NCAA tennis for the University of Kentucky and was an All-American in both singles and doubles, before becoming the first ever Malaysian player to turn professional. [1]
It would be in doubles that he had most of his success on the ATP Tour. Malik and his former NCAA partner, Rich Benson, made the semi-finals of the Kuala Lumpur Open in 1993. Also that year, Malik and Francisco Montana, upset top seeds Jacco Eltingh and Paul Haarhuis at the 1993 Schenectady Open. In 1994, Malik teamed up with Jeff Tarango in the ATP St. Pölten event and the pair finished runners-up. He remained with Tarango for the 1995 Australian Open, the only Grand Slam tournament that the Malaysian played during his career. The pair lost in the opening round to Jon Ireland and Libor Pimek, losing 7–9 in the deciding set. [2]
He had his best singles performance at the Kuala Lumpur Open in 1994, when he reached the quarter-finals.
By the time he made his last Davis Cup appearance in 1995, Malik had taken part in 13 ties for Malaysia and played 32 rubbers, from which he won 17. He won 12 of his 20 singles matches and five of his 12 doubles fixtures. [3]
Since retiring, Malik has worked as a businessman in the United States, but has also spent some time coaching the Malaysian Davis Cup team. [4]

Jeffrey Gail Tarango is a retired American tennis player. He was a top-ten doubles player and a runner-up at the 1999 French Open men's doubles tournament. He is now the Director of Tennis at the Jack Kramer Club, which is just south of Los Angeles. In 2018, he was the tournament director of a $30,000 men's California championships. At that championships, ATP world-ranked No. 11, Sam Querrey, beat Davis Cup captain Mardy Fish to win this event.

He specializes in West Vancouver North Vancouver and Downtown properties real estate transactions. He is considered one of the world's top doubles player from the early to late -1990s, reaching the world No. 1 doubles ranking in November 1993.
Robert "Bob" Charles Bryan is an American former doubles world No. 1 tennis player. He won 23 major titles: 16 in men's doubles and 7 in mixed doubles. He turned professional in 1998. With his twin brother Mike, he was the world No. 1 doubles player for several years, first achieving the top ranking in September 2003. The brothers were named the ATP Team of the Decade for 2000–2009. They became the second men's doubles team to complete the career Golden Slam at the 2012 London Olympics.
Zeeshan Ali is a former Indian Davis Cup player who also competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. The right-hander reached his highest singles ATP ranking on 12 December 1988, when he became the number 126 of the world when he was still 3 weeks short of his 19th birthday.
Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi is a Pakistani professional tennis player who specialises in doubles. He is the only Pakistani player ever to reach a Grand Slam final, having done so in both men's and mixed doubles at the 2010 US Open, alongside Rohan Bopanna and Květa Peschke respectively. Qureshi has also reached seven further major semifinals across the two disciplines. He reached his career-high doubles ranking of world No. 8 in June 2011, and has won 18 titles on the ATP Tour, including the 2011 Paris Masters and 2013 Miami Open, with Bopanna and Jean-Julien Rojer respectively. Qureshi has also qualified for the ATP Finals in doubles on three occasions.
Julian Knowle is an Austrian former professional tennis player. Being a born left-hander, Knowle was one of the few on the ATP Tour who played his forehand, backhand, and even volleys double-handed. He was Austria's most successful doubles player in history by reaching world No. 6 in the ATP doubles rankings in January 2008, before being matched by Jürgen Melzer, who reached No. 6 in September 2010, and overtaken only by Alexander Peya, who reached No. 3 in August 2013.

The Malaysian Open was a combined men's and women's professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts that was originally founded the Malayan Championships. The event has been held at the Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort and The Royal Selangor Golf Club. The tournament ran from 1921 to 1978. It was revived for a second time from 1992 through to 1995. It was staged for the third and final time from 2009 to 2018.

He holds a career Grand Slam in men's doubles and mixed doubles making him one of only three men in the Open era to achieve this distinction and won the rare men's/mixed double at the 1999 Wimbledon Championships.
