The Indonesia men's national tennis team represents Indonesia in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Indonesian Tennis Association.

Contents

Indonesia currently compete in Group II of the Asia/Oceania Zone. They played in the World Group in 1983 and 1989.

History

Indonesia competed in its first Davis Cup in 1961. Joseph Valentinus Sie, Liep Tjiauw Tan, Itjas Sumarno, and Sutarjo Sugiarto represented Indonesia in its first Davis Cup in 1961.

The Davis Cup is the premier international team event in men's tennis. It is run by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and is contested annually between teams from over 140 competing countries. It is described by the organisers as the "World Cup of Tennis", and the winners are referred to as the World Champions. The competition began in 1900 as a challenge between Great Britain and the United States. By 2023, 155 nations entered teams into the competition.

The Croatia men's national tennis team represents Croatia in the Davis Cup and is governed by the Croatian Tennis Association. It is captained by Vedran Martić. Croatia won the Davis Cup twice, in 2005 and 2018, and was runner-up in 2016 and 2021.

The China men's national tennis team represents the People's Republic of China in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Chinese Tennis Association. It was represented by the Republic of China from 1924-1946. The team did not participate between 1946-1983, and in 1983 the People's Republic of China competed for the first time.

The Kazakhstan men's national tennis team represents Kazakhstan in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation. In 2011, Kazakhstan competed in the World Group for the first time after they won against Switzerland in the 2010 World Group play-offs. After the first round win against the Czech Republic in 2011, Kazakhstan secured their spot in the World Group for the 2012 Davis Cup. They lost in the first round to Spain, but defeated Uzbekistan in the play-offs, which again kept them in the World Group for 2013. In 2013, they defeated Austria in the first round, but lost to the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals.

The North Macedonia men's national tennis team represents North Macedonia in Davis Cup tennis competitions. It is governed by the Macedonian Tennis Federation. Its previous official appellation used by the International Tennis Federation was "FYR Macedonia".

The Georgia men's national tennis team represents Georgia in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Georgian Tennis Federation.

The Cuba men's national tennis team represents Cuba in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Federación Cubana de Tenis de Campo.
