Dominik Hrbatý Slovak tennis player

Dominik Hrbatý is a retired professional tennis player from Slovakia. He reached the semi-finals of the 1999 French Open and achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 12 in October 2005. He is one of only three players, alongside Lleyton Hewitt and Nick Kyrgios, to beat all of the members of tennis' Big Three in his first match against them.

The 1994 Davis Cup was the 83rd edition of the Davis Cup, the most important tournament between national teams in men's tennis. 109 teams would enter the competition, 16 in the World Group, 22 in the Americas Zone, 23 in the Asia/Oceania Zone, and 39 in the Europe/Africa Zone. Belarus, Brunei, Georgia, Lithuania, Oman, Slovakia, Sudan and Uzbekistan made their first appearances in the tournament.

The Great Britain Billie Jean King Cup team represents the United Kingdom in Fed Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Lawn Tennis Association. In 2020, they lost out on a chance to secure a place at the inaugural Billie Jean King Cup finals, losing to Slovakia 3-1. However, in 2021 they won their play-off against Mexico and will play for another chance to enter the finals in 2022.

Norbert Gombos Slovak tennis player

Norbert Gombos, occasionally spelt Norbert Gomboš, is a Slovak professional tennis player competing primarily on the ATP Challenger Tour and playing for the Slovakia Davis Cup team. He achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 80 on 2 October 2017. He is currently the No. 3 Slovak tennis player in singles.

2018 Davis Cup 2018 edition of the Davis Cup

The 2018 Davis Cup was the 107th edition of the Davis Cup, a tournament between national teams in men's tennis. It was sponsored by BNP Paribas. In 2018, new rules were introduced for the Group I and II zonal events, with ties now being played as best-of-three sets over the course of two days.

The 2019 Davis Cup Qualifying Round was held on 1–2 February. The twelve winners of this round qualified for the 2019 Davis Cup Finals.
