The Albania Davis Cup team represents Albania in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Albanian Tennis Federation.

Contents

Albania currently compete in the Europe Zone Group IV, and have been doing so since the 2019 edition. [1] Previously The Albanian Davis Cup team competed in Europe Zone Group III before alterations were made to the Davis Cup format. [1] They first started competing in the Davis Cup competition in 2010. [1]

The Davis Cup is the premier international team event in men's tennis. It is run by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and is contested annually between teams from over 140 competing countries. It is described by the organisers as the "World Cup of Tennis", and the winners are referred to as the World Champions. The competition began in 1900 as a challenge between Great Britain and the United States. By 2023, 155 nations entered teams into the competition.

The Billie Jean King Cup is the premier international team competition in women's tennis, launched as the Federation Cup in 1963 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). The name was changed to the Fed Cup in 1995, and changed again in September 2020 in honor of former World No. 1 Billie Jean King. The Billie Jean King Cup is the world's largest annual women's international team sports competition in terms of the number of nations that compete. The current Chairperson is Katrina Adams.

The Russia men's national tennis team until it was suspended in 2022 represented Russia in Davis Cup tennis competition. It is governed by the Russian Tennis Federation. The team started playing in 1993.

The Italy men's national tennis team represents Italy in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Federazione Italiana Tennis. Italy won the Davis Cup in 1976, and finished as runners-up six times. They currently compete in the World Group. They last competed in the highest level in 2000, but winning 3–0 against Chile, on September 16, 2011, won again a pass for the World Group. Nicola Pietrangeli is one of Italy's most decorated players, featuring in all major records for the team. He holds the record for most Davis Cup ties, most overall wins, most singles wins, most doubles wins, and most years played.

The Slovakia men's national tennis team represents Slovakia in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Slovak Tennis Association.

The Morocco men's national tennis team represents Morocco in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Royal Moroccan Tennis Federation.

The Netherlands Antilles Davis Cup team represented the Netherlands Antilles in Davis Cup tennis competition and were governed by the Netherlands Antilles Tennis Association until one year after their dissolution.

The 1981 Davis Cup was the 70th edition of the Davis Cup, the most important tournament between national teams in men's tennis. 53 teams would enter the competition, 16 in the World Group, 23 in the Europe Zone, 8 in the Americas Zone, and 6 in the Eastern Zone.

The 1993 Davis Cup was the 82nd edition of the Davis Cup, the most important tournament between national teams in men's tennis. 100 teams would enter the competition, 16 in the World Group, 22 in the Americas Zone, 23 in the Asia/Oceania Zone, and 39 in the Europe/Africa Zone. Benin, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Djibouti, Latvia, Russia, San Marino, Slovenia, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates made their first appearances in the tournament.

The Burundi Billie Jean King Cup team represents Burundi in Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Fédération de Tennis du Burundi. They currently compete in the Europe/Africa Zone of Group III.

The Europe Zone was the unique zone within Group 4 of the regional Davis Cup competition in 2022. The zone's competition was held in round robin format in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 27 to 31 July 2022.

The 2023 Davis Cup is the 111th edition of the Davis Cup, a tournament between national teams in men's tennis. It is sponsored by Rakuten. It is part of the 2023 ATP Tour calendar.
