The Bahamas men's national tennis team represents the Bahamas in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association.

The Bahamas currently compete in the Americas Zone of Group III. They reached the World Group play-offs in 1993.

History

The Bahamas competed in its first Davis Cup in 1989. Bahamian players previously competed on the Caribbean/West Indies team.

In 2013, they defeated Austria in the first round, but lost to the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals.

Benin, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Djibouti, Latvia, Russia, San Marino, Slovenia, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates made their first appearances in the tournament.

Mark Merklein is a Bahamas-born former college and professional tennis player. He played for the Bahamas Davis Cup team from 1999–2004.

The 1993 Davis Cup World Group qualifying round was held from 22 to 27 September. They were the main play-offs of the 1993 Davis Cup. The winners of the playoffs advanced to the 1994 Davis Cup World Group, and the losers were relegated to their respective Zonal Regions I.
