Adeel Afzal is a Pakistani actor, screenwriter and social media personality. Afzal used to make videos on social media and made his acting debut in 2018. He gained wider recognition with his portrayal of Ahmad Nasaaz in Hum TV's Parizaad for which he received Hum Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Career

Afzal started his acting career in 2018 from television with Sarmad Khoosat and Kashf Foundation's Aakhri Station . In 2021–22, he appeared as Ahmad Nasaaz, a poet and a sincere friend of the protagonist in Hum TV's Parizaad which earned him wider recognition. He received critical acclaim and Hum Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the series. [1] [2] He then appeared in brief roles in Saife Hassan's Sang-e-Mah in 2022, and in Jhok Sarkar the following year. [3] Furthermore, he has written the script of Kashif Nisar's upcoming TV drama featuring Zara Noor Abbas and Danyal Zafar. [4]

Jhok Sarkar is a Pakistani television series that originally broadcast on Hum TV. The series was produced by Momina Duraid, directed by Saife Hassan and written by Hashim Nadeem. It stars Farhan Saeed, Hiba Bukhari and Asif Raza Mir in leading roles. According to the writer, the series is a tribute to the unsung heroes of the Police service. The plot revolves around the struggle of a police officer against the deep-rooted social evils in a town, Jhok Siyal.

The 22nd Lux Style Awards were held on 6 October 2023 in Karachi, Pakistan. The ceremony was hosted by Saba Qamar, Dur-e-Fishan Saleem, Fahad Mustafa and Ahmad Ali Butt.
