Adele Johanna Josiger Merritt is an American applied mathematician and intelligence official serving as the U.S. associate director of national intelligence and chief information officer.
Merritt earned a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Pace University. [1] She completed a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Rhode Island. [1] Her 1999 dissertation was titled Advances in Z-cyclic whist and triple whist tournaments. [2] Norman Joseph Finizio was her doctoral advisor. [2] Merritt was a national security fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. [1]
Merritt began her career at the National Security Agency as an applied research mathematician. [1] In addition to holding various positions within the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC),she completed a joint duty assignment at the Federal Bureau of Investigation,was the principal deputy chief information officer for cyber at the U.S. Department of Energy,and served as a director and acting senior director for intelligence programs on the National Security Council staff during the Obama administration. [1] Merritt led a public-private partnership focused on addressing cyber threats to U.S. national security systems and critical infrastructure. [1] Most recently,she was the program director at MISI,a non-profit focused on advancing cybersecurity innovation and collaboration through partnerships with industry,academia,and government. [1] In 2022,Merritt was nominated by U.S. president Joe Biden to serve as the associate director of national intelligence and chief information officer. Merritt and her husband are the parents of twins. [1]
The director of national intelligence (DNI) is a senior,cabinet-level United States government official,required by the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 to serve as executive head of the United States Intelligence Community (IC) and to direct and oversee the National Intelligence Program (NIP). All IC agencies report directly to the DNI. The DNI also serves,upon invitation,as an advisor to the president of the United States,the National Security Council and the Homeland Security Council on all intelligence matters. The DNI,supported by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI),produces the President's Daily Brief (PDB),a top-secret document including intelligence from all IC agencies,handed each morning to the president of the United States.
Mike McConnell is a former vice admiral in the United States Navy. During his naval career he served as Director of the National Security Agency from 1992 to 1996. His civilian career includes serving as the United States Director of National Intelligence from 20 February 2007 to 27 January 2009 during the Bush administration and also seven days of the Obama administration. He is currently Vice Chairman at Booz Allen Hamilton.

Priscilla Guthrie joined the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) as the Intelligence Community (IC) Chief Information Officer on May 26,2009. She was previously Director of the Information Technology and Systems Division of the Institute for Defense Analyses,a non-profit corporation that administers three federally funded research and development centers to provide objective analyses of national security issues. From 2001 to 2006,she served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense at the Department of Defense,where she was responsible for information support to deployed forces. Prior to her position at the Pentagon,Ms. Guthrie was a Vice President of TRW Inc.,where she established and led a small,global unit responsible for driving new IT technology into the company's business. She also served in several other positions at TRW,Inc. during her career. Ms. Guthrie holds a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from Marymount College.
In the United States the Associate Director of National Intelligence and Chief Information Officer is charged with directing and managing activities relating to information technology for the Intelligence Community (IC) and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). The IC CIO reports directly to the Director of National Intelligence (DNI). As of January 20,2021 Michael Waschull has been named as Acting IC Chief Information Officer.

She currently is the Chairman of the Board for the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA).
Michael S. Rogers is a retired four-star admiral of the United States Navy. Rogers served as the second commander of the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) from April 2014 to May 2018 while concurrently serving as the 17th director of the National Security Agency (NSA) and as chief of the Central Security Service (CSS). During his tenure,he helped transform and elevate U.S. Cyber Command into a unified combatant command. Rogers relinquished command to General Paul M. Nakasone on May 4,2018 and retired from the Navy a few weeks later on June 1,2018.
In September 2020,the Army realigned the previously consolidated CIO/G-6 function into two separate roles,CIO and Deputy Chief of Staff,G-6,that report to the secretary of the Army and chief of staff of the Army,respectively. The realignment came after several months of planning and coordination. Lt. Gen. John Morrison was nominated to the Senate for promotion and assignment as the G-6 and confirmed,assuming that position in August 2020. Prior to assuming that role,she was the Deputy Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA),having assumed the position on January 1,2015. Before joining the NGA,she served as director of the CIA's Information Operations Center and senior cyber adviser to the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Gordon worked for the Central Intelligence Agency for over 25 years.

Schneck served in the Obama administration as Deputy Under Secretary for Cybersecurity and Communications for the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD),at the Department of Homeland Security.
Anne Neuberger is an American national security official who serves as the deputy national security advisor for cyber and emerging technology in the Biden administration. Prior to this role,she served for over a decade at the NSA,as director of cybersecurity,as assistant deputy director of operations,and as the agency's first chief risk officer.
