Adisu Girma (born 10 December 1999) is an Ethiopian track and field athlete. He won the 800 metres at the 2019 Ethiopian Athletics Championships. [1]
Adisu Girma won a bronze medal in the 800 metres at the 2017 African U20 Championships in Athletics in Tlemcen, Algeria. [2] [3] The following year he finished fourth at the 2018 World Athletics U20 Championships in Tampere in the 800 metres. [4] He won the 800 metres at the 2019 Ethiopian Athletics Championships. [5]
In January 2021 he won the Ethiopian Olympic trial competition over 800 metres in Addis Ababa. [6] Girma won the Barcelona 5 km road race on 31 December 2022. [7] [8]
In 2023, he set a new personal best in the 1500m of 3:34.71 in Bydgoszcz on 6 June 2023. [9] Latter that month he also set a new 3000m personal best, clocking a time of 7:45.47 at the Diamond League event in Paris. [10] He was selected for the Ethiopia team for the 2023 World Athletics Championships. [11]
Hagos Gebrhiwet Berhe is an Ethiopian long-distance runner and the former World Junior Record holder in the 5000 meters (12:47:53).
Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon is a Kenyan middle- and long-distance runner. Kipyegon is the current world record holder for the 1500 metres, mile, and 5000 metres, all set in 2023. At both the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Kipyegon won a gold medal in the 1500 m. She also won a gold medal in the 1500 m at the 2017, 2022 and 2023 World Athletics Championships and in the 5000 m at the 2023 World Athletics Championships. Kipyegon is the only female athlete to win both the 1500 m and 5000 m event at the same world championships (2023).
Yomif Kejelcha Atomsa is an Ethiopian distance runner. He won the silver medal in the 10,000 metres at the 2019 World Athletics Championships and gold medals for the 3000 metres at the 2016 and 2018 World Indoor Championships. Kejelcha is the world indoor record holder for the mile with a time of 3:47.01, set on 3 March 2019 in Boston.

He won the gold medal in the 10,000 metres and bronze for the 5000 metres at the European Athletics Championships in 2022, and bronze in the 10,000 m in 2018. Crippa claimed four medals in the age-group races at the European Cross Country Championships and a bronze in the senior race in 2019.
Letesenbet Gidey is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who holds two world records and one world best. In the 10,000 metres, she is the 2020 Tokyo Olympic bronze medallist, 2019 World silver medallist, and 2022 World champion.
Selemon Barega Shirtaga is an Ethiopian long-distance runner. He won the gold medal in the 10,000 metres at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, silver for the 5000 metres at the 2019 World Championships in Doha and bronze in the 10,000 metres at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest. Barega is a two-time 3000 metres World Indoor Championship medallist, taking silver in 2018, and a gold in 2022.
