On August 6, 2024, Houser signed a minor league contract with the Chicago Cubs organization. [23]

Personal life

Houser is married to Megan Houser. [24] Houser is the nephew of James Knott, a pitcher who was selected by the New York Mets in the 11th round of the 1992 MLB Draft. His older brother Michael played college baseball for Northeastern State. [2]

Houser is a member of the Cherokee Nation. He is close friends with fellow Cherokee Nation member and MLB pitcher Ryan Helsley. [25]

Zimmermann was a two-time MLB All-Star, and co-led the National League in wins in 2013. In 2014, Zimmermann pitched the first no-hitter in Washington Nationals history.

Thomas R. Koehler is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played six seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Miami Marlins and Toronto Blue Jays.
