Afrancho is a village in the Bosomtwe district, a district in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. [1]
Lake Bosumtwi is the only natural lake in Ghana. It is situated within an ancient impact crater that is about 10.5 kilometres (6.5 mi) in diameter. It is about 30 km (19 mi) south-east of Kumasi, the capital of Ashanti, and is a popular recreational area. There are about 30 villages near the crater lake of Lake Bosumtwi, with a combined population of about 70,000. The most popular amongst the villages where tourists usually settle is Abono.
Osei Tutu II is the 16th Asantehene, enstooled on 26 April 1999. By name, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is in direct succession to the 17th-century founder of the Ashanti Empire, Otumfuo Osei Tutu I. He is also the Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. A Freemason, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has served as the Grand Patron of the Grand Lodge of Ghana, the Sword Bearer of the United Grand Lodge of England and the Grand Patron of the Grand Lodge of Liberia.
Ejisu-Juaben Municipal District is a former district that was located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly on 10 March 1989 when it was known as Ejisu-Juaben District which was created from the former Ejisu-Juaben-Bosomtwe District Council. It was later elevated to municipal district assembly status in 2007 to become Ejisu-Juaben Municipal District. However on 15 March 2018, it was split off into two new municipal districts: Ejisu Municipal District and Juaben Municipal District. The municipality was located in the central part of Ashanti Region and had Ejisu as its capital town.
Afigya kwabre District is one of the 43 districts in Ashanti Region, Ghana. Originally, it was part of the then-larger Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma District on 10 March 1989, which was created from the former Ejisu-Juaben-Bosomtwe District Council, until the western part of the district was split off on 29 February 2008 to create Atwima-Kwanwoma District; the remaining part was renamed Bosomtwe District. The district assembly is located in the central part of Ashanti Region and has Kuntanase as its capital town.

Anane Boateng Sports Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Kumasi, built by Mr Kwabena Kess the C.E.O of Kessben Group of Companies Ghana at Abrankese near Kuntenase in the Bosomtwe District of Ashanti Region. It is used mostly for football matches and serve as a gathering grounds for thousands of people, mostly members of the Moments of Glory Prayer Army (MOGPA). The stadium is the home stadium of Medeama SC of the Ghana Premier League. The stadium holds 12,000 spectators and opened in 2007.

Originally it was part of the then-larger Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma District which was carved out on 10 March 1989 from the Ejisu-Juaben-Bosomtwe District. In 2007, Atwima-Kwanwoma District was created with Foase as its capital which was later moved to Twedie as a result of a supreme Court ruling.
