The African Women's Junior Handball Championship is the official competition for junior women's national handball teams of Africa, organized by the African Handball Confederation, under the supervision of the International Handball Federation and takes place every two years. In addition to crowning the African champions, the tournament also serves as a qualifying tournament for the Women's World Junior Championship.

It acted as the African qualifying tournament for the 2023 World Men's Handball Championship in Poland and Sweden. Originally it was scheduled to be held in Morocco from 13 to 23 January 2022.

The 2024 African Men's Handball Championship was the 26th edition of the African Men's Handball Championship, held from 17 to 27 January 2024 in Egypt. It acted as the African qualifying tournament for the 2025 World Men's Handball Championship, with the top five nations qualifying. It also acted as the African qualifying tournament for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, with the champions qualifying.
