Agnieszka Skrzypulec (born 3 June 1989 in Szczecin) is a Polish sports sailor. [3]

At the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics, she competed in the Women's 470 class. [4] At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed with Jolanta Ogar. [4] They were the first pair to represent Poland in the women's 470 class. [5] [6] At the 2016 Olympics she competed with Irmina Gliszczynska. [4] Skrzypulec and Gliszczynska won the 2017 Women's 470 World Championship. [5] It was their first World Championship medal, and also Poland's first World 470 Championships gold. [5] Previously they had finished 7th at the 2016 European Championships and 6th at the 2015 470 World Championship and 5th at the 2016 470 World Championship. [7] [8] [9] Skrzypulec competed at the 2013 European Championships with Natalia Wojcik. [10]

For the 2017 European Championships, Skrzypulec teamed up with Ogar again, winning bronze. [11] Ogar had originally competed for Poland, switched to Austrian nationality and then returned to Polish colours. [8]

For the 2017 505 Open Polish Championships, Skrzypulec teamed up with Holger Jess winning gold. [2]

Skrzypulec is coached by Zdzisław Staniul. [12]

Skrzypulec began sailing at 8 and racing at 10. [12] She was encouraged to take up sailing by her parents who first met on a yacht. [12]

Together they were successful at the 470 World Championships in La Rochelle in 2013 and in 2014 in Santander.

Poland competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the nation's official debut in 1924, Polish athletes have appeared in every edition of the Summer Olympic Games, with the exception of the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, because of the Soviet boycott.

Monika Bronicka is a Polish former sailor, who specialized in the Europe class. She was selected to compete for Poland in two editions of the Olympic Games, and also scored top fifteen placements in a major international regatta, spanning the World and European Championships. Bronicka is a member of the sailing squad for AZS UWM Olsztyn, under the tutelage of her personal coach and eventual spouse Mariusz Delgas.

Eilidh Jane McIntyre is a British sailor, who won the gold medal alongside Hannah Mills in the 470 event at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She won the 2019 470 World Championships, and came second at the 2017 470 World Championships. She finished third at the 2015 470 European Championships, and second at the 2019 and 2021 events, as well as having won multiple ISAF Sailing World Cup medals.
