Agripada is an area in South Mumbai. It is located between Byculla (West) and Mumbai Central (East). This area is connected with the Central Railway as well as the Western Railway. Agripada is also notable for its YMCA which has a swimming pool and various indoor and outdoor sports facilities. A large number of schools, including municipal schools, convents, Marathi, Hindi and English medium schools are located in this area.

Maratha Mandir is the nearest cinema hall. The other surrounding areas are Mumbai Central, Byculla, Nagpada, Madanpura and Mahalaxmi. Agripada also has a large number of mosques, of which Arab Masjid and Al-Madina Masjid are the most famous.

Arun Gawli or Arun Gulab Ahir is an Indian politician, underworld don and former gangster. Gawli and his brother Kishor (Pappa) entered the Mumbai underworld in the 1970s when they joined the "Byculla Company", a criminal gang led by Rama Naik and Babu Reshim, operating in the central Mumbai areas of Byculla, Parel and Saat Rasta. In 1988, after Rama Naik was killed in a police encounter, Gawli took over the gang and began operating it from his residence, Dagdi Chawl. Under his control, the gang controlled most criminal activities in the central Mumbai areas. Throughout the late eighties and nineties, Gawli's gang was involved in a power struggle with Dawood Ibrahim's D-Company gang. Marine Lines is a locality in South Mumbai. The name Marine Lines is derived from the Marine Battalion Lines, a military establishment built by the British in the 19th century. Byculla railway station

Byculla is railway station on the Central line and of the Mumbai Suburban Railway. It is located in the neighbourhood of Byculla. All the fast trains halt at Byculla station both during peak hours and normal time.
