This journal was founded in 1908 under the name Journal of the American Society of Agronomy, but the name was changed January 1949 to Agronomy Journal after a vote of the members. [2] [3] In its over one hundred years of existence, it has featured more than 30,290 authors, who have published more than 15,232 articles. [2]

The current editor-in-chief is Silvia Pampana in the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment (DAFE), at Università di Pisa. [4]

According to the Journal Citation Reports , the journal has a 2020 impact factor of 2.240. [5]

Agronomy for Sustainable Development is a bimonthly peer-reviewed scientific journal covering research on the interactions between cropping systems and other activities in the context of sustainable development. It is published by Springer Science+Business Media on behalf of the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (INRAE). Articles are freely accessible one year after their publication. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2020 impact factor of 5.832.

In Ivory Coast, a country in West Africa, scientific output has been relatively modest. Scientists in Ivory Coast produced only 10 scholarly articles per million inhabitants in international journals in 2014, compared to a continental average of 20 per million. Between 2008 and 2014, scientists published mostly in biological sciences, followed by medical sciences, geosciences, agriculture and chemistry. Crop Science is a bimonthly peer-reviewed scientific journal covering agronomy. It was established in 1961 by founding editor-in-chief H.L. Hamilton and is published by ACSESS in partnership with Wiley. It is the official journal of the Crop Science Society of America. Since 2013, it is available online only.

Cynthia Grant is a former Canadian federal scientist who is an expert in soil fertility and crop nutrition. She was a researcher with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) (1986–2015). Her research provided the scientific foundation for the Made-in-Canada 4R nutrient stewardship framework that applies crop nutrients from the right source and at the right rate, time and place. Grant is now part of an elite group of ten women who have been inducted into the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame since 1960.

P. K. Ramachandran Nair is an Indian American agricultural scientist, Distinguished Professor of Agroforestry and International Forestry at the School of Forest, Fisheries, and Geomatics Sciences (SFFGS), Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS), University of Florida. He is known for his pioneering contributions to the science of agroforestry, for which he received global recognition including the Humboldt Prize (2006). The specific areas of his research include agroforestry in the tropics and subtropics, integrated farming systems, soil carbon sequestration and climate change mitigation, ecosystem services, and soil fertility management. He has written over 200 peer-reviewed articles, 17 books and over 80 book chapters.

Rattan Lal is a soil scientist. His work focuses on regenerative agriculture through which soil can help resolve global issues such as climate change, food security and water quality. He is considered a pioneer in soil-centric agricultural management to improve global food security and develop climate-resilient agriculture.

Soil Science Society of America Journal is a bimonthly peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing research on all aspects of soil science. It was established in 1937 as Soil Science Society of America Proceedings with J. D. Luckett as founding editor-in-chief. The journal obtained its current title in 1973. It is the flagship journal of the Soil Science Society of America and is published on their behalf by Wiley. As of 2013, the journal is only available online.
