Air Adriatic was a charter airline based in Rijeka, Croatia and was the first private Croatian airline. It operated charter services from northern Europe to Croatian holiday destinations. Its main bases were Pula Airport and Dubrovnik Airport. [1] It ceased operations in March 2007 after it had lost its air operator certificate. [2]
The airline was established in October 2001 and started operations in March 2002. [1]
It had its headquarters at Rijeka and technical operations based at Pula Airport. In 2004, charters were largely flown between Sweden and Croatia. In 2005, the company bought three additional used McDonnell Douglas MD-82 aircraft from Alitalia. [3] In September 2006, the airline was planning to launch scheduled services and was considering adding Boeing 757-200s to its fleet. [2]
Air Adriatic announced plans for 2007 to launch schedule services from Zagreb to Berlin, Düsseldorf, Malmö, Moscow, Pristina, Skopje and Zürich and to replace its McDonnell Douglas MD-82s with Boeing 737-700 aircraft. It also wet-leased one of its MD-82s to MyAir. [2] Air Adriatic ceased operations in March 2007. [2]
Adria Wings has been established by former Air Adriatic employees and was expected to resume charter operations with a single McDonnell Douglas MD-83 aircraft, [4] but it folded before starting any service.

Croatia Airlines Ltd. is the state-owned flag carrier airline of Croatia. Its headquarters are in Buzin near Zagreb and operates domestic and international services mainly to European destinations. Its main hub is Zagreb International Airport with focus cities being Dubrovnik, Split, and Zadar. Since November 2004, the airline has been a member of Star Alliance.

On 30 September 2019, the airline declared bankruptcy and ceased all operations.
The McDonnell Douglas MD-80 is a series of single-aisle airliners developed by McDonnell Douglas from the DC-9. Stretched, heavier, and with higher bypass Pratt & Whitney JT8D-200 engines, the DC-9 Series 80 was launched in October 1977. It made its first flight on October 18, 1979 and was certified on August 25, 1980. It was delivered to launch customer Swissair on September 13, 1980, which introduced it into commercial service on October 10, 1980.

Onur Air is a low-cost airline with its headquarters in the Technical Hangar B at Istanbul Atatürk Airport in Yeşilköy, Istanbul, Turkey. It operates mostly domestic scheduled services, as well as charter flights out of its base at Istanbul Airport. As of December 2021, it was forced to suspend all operations until further notice.
Centralwings was a charter airline based in Warsaw, Poland. The airline operated as a low-cost airline and then became a charter-only operation in October 2008. It was a subsidiary of LOT Polish Airlines, operating international services in Europe, using Boeing 737 aircraft. Its main base was Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport, with hubs at Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport and John Paul II International Airport Kraków-Balice. On 26 March 2009 the board of LOT Polish Airlines decided to close Centralwings with no information about what was to happen to its employees.
