Nagpur is the third-largest city of the Indian state of Maharashtra after Mumbai and Pune. Known as the "Orange City", Nagpur is the 13th largest city in India by population. According to an Oxford's Economics report, Nagpur is projected to be the fifth fastest growing city in the world from 2019 to 2035 with an average growth of 8.41%. Namma Metro, also known as Bengaluru Metro, is a rapid transit system serving the city of Bengaluru, India. It is the second longest operational metro network in India with an operational length of 73.75 kilometers just behind Delhi Metro. Upon its inauguration, it became the first underground metro system in South India. Namma Metro has a mix of underground, at grade, and elevated stations. Out of the 66 operational metro stations of Namma Metro as of October 2023, there are 57 elevated stations, eight underground stations and one at-grade station. The system runs on standard-gauge tracks.

Nagpur Metro is a rapid transit system for the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. Phase I of the metro project cost was estimated to cost ₹8,650 crore but the final project cost incurred was ₹9,279 crore (US$1.2 billion). In February 2014, the Government of Maharashtra gave approval for the Metro project, while the Government of India's Ministry of Urban Development had given "In Principle" approval for the project. On 20 August 2014, Union Cabinet gave approval for the development of the project, and the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone on 21 August. Construction began on 31 May 2015, with trial run beginning on 30 September 2017.
The Noida Metro is a rapid transit system connecting the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India. The Greater Nashik Metro or Metro NEO is a proposed rapid transit system in the Nashik Metropolitan Region. The system is proposed to reduce traffic congestion as well as provide direct connectivity to Nashik city from its suburbs. The Greater Nashik Metro will connect suburbs of Nashik city like Deolali, Nashik Road, Upnagar, Nashik Airport, Sinnar, Igatpuri, Gangapur Road, Trimbakeshwar, Dindori, Bhagur, Niphad, Adgaon, Ghoti Budruk and Girnare.

The Delhi–Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System, also known as Delhi–Meerut RRTS, Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut RRTS and coloquially Rapid Rail, is an under-construction and partially operational 82.15 km (51.05 mi)-long semi high-speed rail and regional transit corridor that will connect the National Capital Region (NCR) cities of Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut. It is the first of the four rapid rail corridors planned under the first phase of the RapidX project managed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). Designed to allow a maximum speed of 180 km/h (110 mph), the distance between Delhi and Meerut will be covered in less than 60 minutes. The project is being executed at a cost of ₹30,274 crore (US$3.8 billion). It will start from Jangpura as the starting station, run through Sarai Kale Khan, the terminal for the three planned corridors, both in Delhi, and end in Modipuram in Meerut. It will have 16 stations and two depots at Duhai and Modipuram.
New Airport is an at-grade metro station on the North-South corridor of the Orange Line of Nagpur Metro in the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra. This serves the Kachore Patil Nagar area of Nagpur. It was opened to the public on 8 March 2019. The station is linked to Wardha Road through a short road.
Khapri is the at-grade southern terminal metro station on the North-South corridor of the Orange Line of Nagpur Metro in the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra.serving the Khapri area of Nagpur. It was opened to the public on 8 March 2019. The station is integrated with the Khapri railway station, and is linked with Wardha Road via a subway that passes under the main railway line.
Zero Mile Freedom Park is an elevated metro station on the North-South corridor of the Orange Line of Nagpur Metro in the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra. It is named after the nearby Zero Mile Stone which was built in 1907 to mark the Great Trigonometrical Survey of India. The station was opened on 21 August 2021.
Sitabuldi is an elevated metro interchange station on the North-South corridor of the Orange Line and East-West corridor of the Aqua Line of Nagpur Metro in the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra, India which allows passengers to transfer between the Orange Line and the Aqua Line. It was opened to the public on 8 March 2019. Aqua Line services commenced on 28 January 2020. The station covers a total area of 250,000 square feet.
