The Aqua Line, also known as the East-West corridor, of the Nagpur Metro is a metro route of the mass rapid transit system in Nagpur, India. It was opened on 28 January 2020. [1]
The total length of the corridor is 19.407 km (12.059 mi). with 21 stations from Prajapati Nagar to Hingna Mount View with a total distance of 19.407 km (12.059 mi). All stations are elevated stations and Sitaburdi station is an Interchange Station. Average inter-station distance is 1.00 km (0.621 mi) approximately varying from 0.65 to 1.29 km (0.404 to 0.802 mi) depending upon the site, operational and traffic requirements. The entire corridor is elevated.
The DMRC in its Detailed Project Report (DPR) submitted to Nagpur Improvement Trust has suggested to start the construction work on both the routes simultaneously contradicting the prior suggestion of phase wise development. [2]

The Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Mumbai and the wider Mumbai Metropolitan Region in Maharashtra, India.
Pune Metro is a mass rapid transit system serving the city of Pune, India. The system comprises three lines with a combined length of 66.27 km of which 32.97 km on two lines are operational as of November 2024. The extended metro line from Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi - including the Bund Garden, Kalyani Nagar and Ramwadi metro stations - covers a distance of 6 km (3.73 mi). It was inaugurated on 6 March 2024. The 16.59 km (10.31 mi) Purple Line from PCMC Bhavan to Swargate runs on an elevated viaduct between PCMC Bhavan to Range Hills, from where it goes underground. The Aqua Line runs from Vanaz to Ramwadi covering a distance of 14.66 km (9.11 mi) on an elevated viaduct. The 23.33 km (14.50 mi) elevated Line 3 Puneri Metro will run from the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjawadi via Balewadi to Civil Court. All three lines will align at the District Court interchange station.
The Bhoj Metro is an under construction rapid transit system intended to serve the city of Bhopal, India, the capital of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The total system consists of 6 corridors covering a distance of 104.87 kilometres (65.16 mi). The first phase of the Bhopal Metro project consists of 28 km (17.40 mi) of line 2 & 5 being under construction. This project will cost ₹80 billion (US$920 million) approximately. There will be three types of run – on road, on bridges, and underground in some locations.
Patna Metro (Patna MRTS) is a rapid transit system being constructed in the city of Patna, India. Construction will be completed over five phases, and the transit system would be owned and operated by the state-run Patna Metro Rail Corporation. In the first phase, five stations of Patna Metro will be operational by March 2025. Patna MRTS, constructed under a public-private partnership model, is estimated to cost ₹13,365.77 crore (US$1.5 billion). The Delhi–Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System is a partially operational 82.15 km (51.05 mi)-long semi-high-speed rail and regional transit system that will connect the National Capital Region (NCR) cities of Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut. It is the first of the four rapid rail corridors planned under the first phase of the Namo Bharat project managed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). Designed to allow a maximum speed of 180 km/h (110 mph), the distance between Delhi and Meerut will be covered in less than 60 minutes. The project is being executed at a cost of ₹30,274 crore (US$3.5 billion). It will start from Jangpura as the starting station, run through Sarai Kale Khan, the terminal for the three planned corridors, both in Delhi, and end in Modipuram in Meerut. It will have 16 stations and two depots at Duhai and Modipuram.
Sitabuldi is an elevated metro interchange station on the North-South corridor of the Orange Line and East-West corridor of the Aqua Line of Nagpur Metro in the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra, India which allows passengers to transfer between the Orange Line and the Aqua Line. It was opened to the public on 8 March 2019. Aqua Line services commenced on 28 January 2020. The station covers a total area of 250,000 square feet.
The Orange Line, also known as the North–south corridor, of the Nagpur Metro is a metro route of mass rapid transit system in Nagpur, India. It consists of 20 metro stations from Automotive Square to Metro City with a total distance of 22.293 km (13.8522 mi). Most of the line is elevated. It is the first line of the Nagpur Metro and was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 7 March 2019, and opened to the public the next day on International Women's Day.
