Aishling Moloney (born 28 January 1998) is an Irish Australian rules footballer playing for the Geelong Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). [1]
Originating from Cahir, County Tipperary as a gaelic footballer for Tipperary Ladies, [2] Moloney was recruited by Geelong prior to the 2023 AFLW season. [3]
Moloney had been previously scouted by the Brisbane Lions, but her departure to Australia was delayed due to work commitments and injury. Moloney had a knee injury in 2021 and was bitten by a spider in 2022. [4]
Making an instant impact for Geelong, [4] Moloney was awarded the 2023 AFL Players' Best First Year Player Award in her debut season. [5] [6]
During the AFL Women's offseason, Moloney returned to Ireland to play for County Tipperary. [5]
Moloney would kick 21 goals during the 2024 AFL Women's season, to tie for the AFL Women's leading goalkicker award with Brisbane's Taylor Smith. Her season included a career-high six goals against West Coast. [7]

Madeleine Boyd is an Australian rules footballer who played for St Kilda in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She has previously played for Melbourne, Greater Western Sydney and Geelong.
The 2018 season was the Geelong Football Club's 119th in the Australian Football League (AFL). It was the club's eighth season under senior coach Chris Scott, with Joel Selwood appointed as club captain for a seventh successive year. Geelong participated in both the inaugural AFLX competition and the 2018 JLT Community Series as part of their pre-season schedule, and the club's regular season began on 25 March against Melbourne at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The Cats finished the home-and-away season with a 13–9 win–loss record and placed eighth on the league's ladder, qualifying for the 2018 finals series as a result. Geelong were defeated in an elimination final against Melbourne by 29 points, and therefore did not progress past the first finals week.
