Alberto Judas Pardo (born September 8,1962) is a Spanish-born Cuban American former catcher who played in Major League Baseball for the Baltimore Orioles and the Philadelphia Phillies. As of 2021 [update] ,he is one of only four players in Major League history to have been born in Spain. [1]
Pardo was born to refugees who fled the Cuban Revolution,and his family immigrated to the United States at a young age. [2] He played baseball at Jefferson High School in Tampa,Florida,where he was teammates with Fred McGriff. [3]
The only home run in his career came against Chicago White Sox pitcher Joe Cowley.
Saturnino Orestes "Minnie" Armas Arrieta Miñoso,nicknamed "The Cuban Comet",was a Cuban professional baseball player. He began his baseball career in the Negro leagues in 1946 and became an All-Star third baseman with the New York Cubans. He was signed by the Cleveland Indians of Major League Baseball (MLB) after the 1948 season as baseball's color line fell. Miñoso went on to become an All-Star left fielder with the Indians and Chicago White Sox. The first Afro-Latino in the major leagues and the first black player in White Sox history,as a 1951 rookie he was one of the first Latin Americans to play in an MLB All-Star Game.
Henry Curtis Thompson was an American player in the Negro leagues and Major League Baseball who played primarily as a third baseman. A left-handed batter,he played with the Dallas Green Monarchs (1941),Kansas City Monarchs,St. Louis Browns (1947) and New York Giants (1949–56).
Adolfo Domingo De Guzmán Luque was a Cuban starting pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1914 to 1935. Luque was enshrined in the Cuban Baseball Hall of Fame in 1957 and the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame in 1967,as well as in the Mexican Baseball Hall of Fame in 1985. Luque was not only the first Latino pitcher in MLB,but also the first to earn a World Series win,and the first to lead the majors in wins and shutouts.

He played in the Cuban National Series for Villa Clara before he defected from Cuba. In 2019,he became the first former MLB player to return to the Cuban national baseball system after defecting from the country. However,he never played a game for Villa Clara in 2019. In Cuba,he is nicknamed "Riquimbili".
Yulieski Gourriel Castillo,commonly known as Yuli Gurriel and nicknamed "La Piña",is a Cuban professional baseball first baseman in the Atlanta Braves organization. He has previously played for Sancti Spiritus in the Cuban National Series (CNS),the Yokohama DeNA BayStars of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB),and the Houston Astros and Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB). Gurriel is a former member of Cuba's national team,and an Olympic Games gold medalist in 2004. A versatile infielder,he has also played shortstop,second base,and third base in the major leagues.
Alfredo A. Cabrera was a professional baseball shortstop who played many years in the Cuban League. His nickname was Pájaro, which is Spanish for "Bird."
Yunesky Maya Mendizula is a Cuban-born professional baseball pitcher for the Piratas de Campeche of the Mexican League. Conrado Eugenio Marrero Ramos,nicknamed "Connie",was a Cuban professional baseball pitcher. The right-handed Marrero pitched in Major League Baseball from 1950 to 1954 for the Washington Senators. Marrero made his major league debut when he was 38 years old,and was one of the oldest players in the league throughout the duration of his time in the major leagues. He was a popular star in his native Cuba,where he had a long and successful career in amateur baseball,pitching for Cuba in several Amateur World Series competitions,and playing several excellent seasons with the professional Cuban League and the minor league Havana Cubans. His nicknames in Cuba were "El Guajiro de Laberinto",reflecting his rural origins,"El Premier",and "El Curvo."
Bryan Alois Oelkers is a Spanish former Major League Baseball pitcher. He attended Pattonville High School in Maryland Heights,Missouri and college at Wichita State. He batted and threw left-handed. He was drafted in the first round by the Minnesota Twins,one spot ahead of Dwight Gooden. Oelkers played two years in the majors —1983 with the Minnesota Twins and 1986 with the Cleveland Indians. In 45 career games,he had a 3–8 record. In 103.1 innings,he allowed 126 hits with an ERA of 6.01. On August 16,1986,Oelkers notched his only major league save in a 2–1 victory over the Orioles. He went 1⁄3 of an inning,retiring Jim Traber to preserve the victory. Oelkers preserved the win for Hall of Famer Phil Niekro.

He was a backup outfielder in Major League Baseball who played briefly for the Cincinnati Reds during July and early August of the 1958 season. Listed at 6 ft 1 in (185 cm),175 lb (79 kg),Morejón batted and threw right-handed. He was born in Havana.
