Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein is King of Jordan, having ascended the throne on 7 February 1999. He is a member of the Hashemite dynasty, who have been the reigning royal family of Jordan since 1921, and is considered a 41st-generation direct descendant of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.

The family had ruled the city of Mecca continuously from the 10th century, frequently as vassals of outside powers, and were given the thrones of the Hejaz, Syria, Iraq, and Jordan following their World War I alliance with the British Empire; this arrangement became known as the "Sharifian solution".

Hamzah renounced his title of prince in April 2022.

The Hashemite University, often abbreviated HU, is a public university in Jordan. It was established in 1995. The university is located in the vicinity of the city of Zarqa. As regards to the study systems, it applies the credit hour system. Each college has its own number of credit hours. It is the first university in Jordan to apply the Two-Summer-Semester system. The Hashemite University offers a variety of different master programs. It also offers an international admission program which allows non-Jordanian students to enroll at the university.
Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad is a Jordanian prince and a professor of philosophy. He is the son of Prince Muhammad bin Talal of Jordan and his first wife, Princess Firyal. He is a grandson of King Talal of Jordan and thus a first cousin of King Abdullah II and eighteenth in the line of succession to the Jordanian throne. He is well known for his religious initiatives, about which a book was published in 2013.

Al-Hussein Bin Talal University (AHU) is a public coeducational university located in the heart of the southern region, 210 km from the Capital Amman.about 9 km to the northwest of Ma'an city in the southern region of Jordan. It was established by a Royal Decree on April 28, 1999. AHU is a comprehensive public university in a self-contained campus, and has student population representing nearly every Governorate in Jordan. over the past years, AHU has grown to eight colleges offering bachelor's degree programs in natural and environmental sciences, business, nursing, education, humanities, IT and engineering; and two Deanships, the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Deanship of Scientific Research. AHU has nine scientific centers that are heavily engaged in research and development projects to serve local and national communities.

The university was founded in 1994 as a public university funded by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It is named in honor of Muhammad Ahmad al-Mahdi, the leader of the Mahdist revolution which overthrew the Ottoman-Egyptian administration and established their own "Islamic and national" government in Sudan (1885-1898).

Hind Ghassan Tawfiq Abu al-Shaer, a Jordanian writer and researcher with many works. Born in Ajloun in northern Jordan, she worked in several public schools and finished her master in 1994, where she completed her work at universities that started at the University of Jordan and then university to the house, she has chaired the editing of a few print literary periodicals. She presented a documentary radio program on Jordanian radio entitled "Jordanian Papers" for three sessions (2005-2011).
