The University of Cambridge is composed of 31 colleges in addition to the academic departments and administration of the central university. Until the mid-19th century,both Cambridge and Oxford comprised a group of colleges with a small central university administration,rather than universities in the common sense. Sir Kenneth Aphunezi Olisa is a British businessman and philanthropist. He is the first mixed heritage Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London. He founded and led the AIM-listed technology merchant bank Interregnum and now leads Restoration Partners. Ken Olisa is Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists and has served and serves on several boards of philanthropic,educational and regulator organisations. Sir Kenneth with his wife endowed the Olisa Library at Fitzwilliam College,Cambridge.

Thomas Edward Wilkinson (1837−1914),known as Edward Wilkinson,was an Anglican bishop,legionnaire and travel writer in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The sixth child of a gentleman farmer,he was born at Walsham Hall,Walsham le Willows,Suffolk. Before he was ordained,he joined the French Foreign Legion and travelled around Europe.
