He is the current owner of the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

Based in Owen Sound since 1989, and operating under the current name since 2000, the Attack play their home games at the J. D. McArthur Arena inside the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.

Anthony Stewart is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player, having played in the NHL, AHL, and KHL. He was born in Quebec, and his family moved to Toronto while he was a child. Stewart played minor hockey in Toronto, winning three all-Ontario championships. After his minor hockey career, he was selected by the Kingston Frontenacs in the first round of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) draft. After two seasons with Kingston, he was drafted by the Florida Panthers in the first round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, at 25th overall. He spent four years in the Panthers' system, dividing his time between the NHL and the American Hockey League (AHL), after which he joined the Atlanta Thrashers for two years. When the Thrashers moved to Winnipeg to become the new Winnipeg Jets, they did not offer him a new contract, and he signed with the Carolina Hurricanes as a free agent. After one season in Carolina he was traded to the Kings, but spent most of the season in the minor leagues. He signed a professional tryout contract with the San Jose Sharks to begin the 2013–14 NHL season, but was not offered a contract. He subsequently signed with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg in the KHL. His younger brother Chris also played in the NHL, and retired after the 2019–2020 season playing for Philadelphia Flyers.
Trevor Letowski is a Canadian former professional ice hockey winger and current assistant coach for the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the seventh round, 174th overall, by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. Letowski also played for the Vancouver Canucks, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Carolina Hurricanes. Following retirement from active play, he has served as head coach of the OHL's Sarnia Sting and Windsor Spitfires.

The team's name derives from the location of its original arena in the Medveščak area in central Zagreb, with KHL the abbreviation of the Croatian words for ice hockey club. Borna Rendulić is a Croatian professional ice hockey forward who is currently playing for SKA Saint Petersburg of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Rendulić began playing hockey in Croatia and made his professional debut with KHL Medveščak in 2006, before moving to Finland in 2011 in order to further his career. He played for several teams in both the top-tier SM-liiga and second-tier Mestis, then moved to North America in 2014 when he signed a contract with the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL. Rendulić made his NHL debut that year, the first Croatian-trained player to do so, but spent most of the following two seasons with the Avalanche minor-league affiliates in the AHL. After two seasons spent primarily with the Avalanche's AHL affiliate, he signed with the Vancouver Canucks, spending a further season in the AHL with their affiliate before returning to Europe. Internationally, Rendulić has played for Croatia in several World Championships, both at the junior and senior level.

He was selected first overall by the Edmonton Oilers at the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, and also played with the St. Louis Blues and Colorado Avalanche. Due to his draft position, short NHL career and low point totals, Yakupov is widely regarded as one of the biggest draft busts in NHL history.
Greg Walters is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and coach. He was drafted into the National Hockey League in 1990, but spent his career playing in the minor leagues. During 12 seasons, he played 248 games in the American Hockey League, and 241 games in the International Hockey League. He later turned to coaching, winning two Ontario Junior Hockey League Coach of the Year awards, and one Canadian Junior Hockey League Coach of the Year award. Later, he served as a head coach in the Ontario Hockey League for the Oshawa Generals and the Owen Sound Attack.
The 2014–15 KHL Medveščak Zagreb season was the second season for the Zagreb-based club in the Kontinental Hockey League. Initially Mark French was announced as head coach of the team, but prior to the season starting he accepted an offer from the Calgary Hitmen, a major junior team in the Canadian-based Western Hockey League. He was replaced by Chuck Weber, who in turn was relieved of his duties due to poor play by the team and succeeded by Doug Shedden. During the season Medveščak participated in the Spengler Cup, the first time the club was invited to play in the tournament.
